Update - in response to the owner's reply:

I forgot to mention how rude the attitude was when I was asking for an additional spoon for the first time, without any further explanation, simply telling "no you cannot share, you have to pay for the extra spoon". As a customer I'd happily read any written rules before buying and make a decision whether to agree or not. I would not be happy with being told off/forced to comply with any vague/unclear/unreasonable rules after making the purchase already. Asking the customer to take the owner's perspective simply doesn't work. If you are not happy with the way the business runs, you should come up with better strategies, rather than treating the customers like thieves or beggers. Apologies not accepted. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Ordered a cup with 2 scoops and when asking for extra spoon, was told ice cream cannot be shared and spoons are not free. No sign was telling this and the lady who served us said nothing about this when we paid. Let alone we were told to be seated and wait to be served and 15 minutes later nothing happened. Turned out we were forgotten (when four staff members were serving noone).

Never been to an ice cream shop and been told can't share and can't have extra spoon unless ordering separate scoops.

Absolutely...

I’m really disappointed to be writing this as we had such an awesome experience until the very end.

It was a super busy lunch period on a Saturday. The staff were under the pump and I really felt for them, our food took alittle bit but we totally understood as there were a lot of people in the dining area.

Food arrived - it was 10/10! We had the chicken sandwich and salami focaccia.

There were a few demanding customers (I’ve worked in hospo so I can spot them a mile away) so the staff were really under the pump. One of the staff members was racing a cup of coffee back to the kitchen and there were some customers standing in her way. In frustration, she said the words ‘fking r**s’ as she dashed back to the kitchen. We were so stunned we got up and left right away. There were also families around and kids don’t need to hear or see that. I understand there is pressure felt on busy days but by no means is it ok to use that term, especially toward a paying customer. So overall the experience was a 10/10 until the angry staff member...

Great place for coffee and a chat, adjacent to the Mill market, if your from Melbourne visiting Daylesford give this place a visit. All day breakfast and light lunch. You can tell the food is produced in House. Salmon Patties made on site and salads prepared fresh . Caters for Vegos. Relaxed local feel and Staff are eager to help with a really relaxed vibe. Generous serves on the meals. Cakes and Biscuits made on site. Much like the Mill itself that sells things from your Grandma's house, the Gang here try to bring a little of Grandma's house with Old school biscuits and slices. Bonus is the relish jams and so forth used on the food can be brought in Jars. If you after supporting Local and Local producers pay...

The Mill Market Cafe in Daylesford is a lovely place to chill out after going out and about around the charmingly engaging town. ☀️The sunny bits: The lasagne was impressive. The layers of pasta were cooked perfectly with the savoury sauce. It came with a serve of chips and fresh salad. While the ham and cheese croissant looked plain, the burst of flavours from the first bite eased all concerns. Service was pleasant. ☁️The cloudy bits: Prices were on the steep side but they deserve every cent. ⭐️The forecast: This is a great place to take a break from exploring the many wonderful parts of Daylesford. Definitely worth a visit.

Had breakfast here this morning with my partner and kids. Very kid friendly venue. Such a cool atmosphere too, love all the retro/vintage chairs and tables. Breakfast was super fresh, tasty and full of flavour. We had the big breakfast and smashed avo, can highly recommend both! Coffee was brilliant too and the kids loved their milkshakes. Great variety of food, heaps to choose from. Chilli jam was to die for!!! I made to purchase some on my way out. Lovely staff and great vibe. I’ll definitely be back!
