Nothing close to 4,5 stars. Visited this place last Monday Sept 2nd. Don’t waste your money if you are after a decent breakfast. Our order was three coffee, two egg benedicts, one butter and jam croissant. My mom waited the croissant for 20+ minutes, it came out soggy and flat, it didn’t even look like croissant anymore, the benedicts were nothing like a good egg Benedict in Vic: the eggs were so runny, basically raw with an enormous amount of a very vinegary hollandaise on top, I couldn’t finish mine even though I was starving at that point. On a positive side my mom and husband liked their moccas, and I had an almond flat white but it was so bitter and tasted burned that I only took a couple sips. The service was so slow that we needed to check in on our order… the overall place is lacking any hospitality and cleanliness, the staff serviced us in a dirty looking clothes. The worst breakfast we had in Victoria! Muffins and...
Read moreCame here around 2:30pm, the girls were super lovely. Breakfast said it finished at 1:30pm, but they mentioned we could still order it (winning). We were the only ones in the cafe at the time.
We ordered a veggie big breakfast and a lemon sugar pancakes.
The veggie breakfast was unfortunately very bland, nothing really tasted seasoned- the eggs were nicely poached though and we actually weren’t served the baked beans that were listed on the menu.

We flagged it with the staff and they changed it and apologised so that was all fine, unfortunately the pancakes were pretty flavourless without drowning them in lemon and sugar and they were burnt on the bottom so they were difficult to pull apart.
You might have better luck with the...
Read moreI used to come here five plus years ago and enjoyed a coffee and bacon and egg toastie regularly. Yesterday I returned after 5 years to order the same. I was sadly disappointed to find the prices had increased by 35%. But still the sandwich was the same as I used to get so I was satisfied. I went again today. Today I ordered a bacon and egg toastie and coffee. Today's offering was sub par at best. The sandwich was uncut making it very difficult to eat. The egg had pepper heaped on only half of it. The second half so I couldn't take it back half eaten at this point. I didn't ask for pepper. I didn't ask for an uncut sandwich either. Who serves sandwiches uncut? Muffins and more that's who and the moron chef that works there. This was also the case 5 plus years ago and it seems that as much as Daylesford has changed, some things haven't....and not for the good. CUT YOUR...
