Incident occurring here on the 1st of April. We ordered some pies from this shop which went smoothly. Sandy, the worker, who is also the 'manager' on at the time proceeded to ask us if there was anything else. We said, yes, a coke as well. Her response was 'Oh, you can just go there and get it yourself, thanks' with an extremely rude, condescending tone. Taken aback, we said 'Sorry we didn't know'. We asked her why did she respond this way and she responded with 'This is how we are here in Daylesford. That's just how it is'. We've stayed in Daylesford many times, been here for years and this is definitely not representative of Daylesford whatsoever.

To add, she spoke to the customers in front of us the exact same way - who decided to leave it alone completely and ignored it.

After this comment, Sandy walked to the kitchen and stayed there for a few minutes (About 10). We asked for a refund from the other worker there which she said she was unable to do refunds and that we would have to wait for Sandy.

After 10 minutes, Sandy comes from the back and takes the pie back and proceeds with the refund whilst simultaneously still making remarks and certain comments, continuing with 'you got your refund now, get out of the store.' Which is simply not on, especially if you are working in customer service.

We then proceeded to ask the other worker for the her name, which she felt she couldn't give to us because Sandy had told her in front of us, 'Dont you dare give my name out'.

The other worker on shift was extremely kind & nice, gave us the business card of the owner and told us what we needed to do was to contact Steven Krunic (The owner), who gave us the name of the manager. (Sandy). Who also apologised on her behalf.

Her behaviour was horrible, extremely rude & just outright disappointing. It's a shame, because the pies are amazing here - the service from the manager ONLY was just simply embarassing on all counts.

She needs a new lesson on how to serve customers.

Whatever it is, this was a horrible & embarassing experience that was seen by and heard by various customers. Especially...

An incident occurred today 1st April at the bakery which was was very rude for our family, we came there to buy some pies and a coke, and one of the worker who appears to the the manager (Sandy) gave us the pies but for the coke she just said ‘you can the coke yourself’ in a very rude way. We ask her why she responded like that ‘she said that’s it’s how we are here in Daylesford we’ve been here for years that’s how we are’.In addition to that she spoke to the customers in front of us the same way but they just decided to leave it and ignored it.

After that comment Sandy went to the kitchen and stayed there for minutes about 10 minutes. We asked for a refund to the other worker there which she said that she was unable to proceed the refund and we would have to wait for Sandy.

After 10 minutes Sandy came back take the pie back and proceed with the refund but he was still making remarks saying ‘you got your refund now, get out of the store’. The cakes in the window was the attractant with us! Massive ANZAC cookies! We ordered lunch which was a chicken schnitzel burger, toasted. It was huge and therefore very filling! We also tried their Mars bar slice - a different take on other mars bar slices I’ve had (no rice crispies and not as gooey) but still delicious. The young man who served us was very helpful, jovial and assisted us with our choices. He was right! Everything was delicious. Marked one star down as the chicken schnitzel still had the chicken sinewy ‘skin’ on it under the bread crumbs. Master 15 tried to rip it out, but because it encased the whole chicken breast, he couldn’t without damaging his whole burger. He ended up throwing half his burger away. Note - we ordered two schnitzel burgers and only one had this so I think it was a one-off. I’d happily...

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat for lunch after some google searches on the best pie shop in Daylesford (there is another bakery right across the road), this one seemed to be the recommended one, outside on the window there are the awards to prove this. Went here during the weekday around 1pm and most of the pies were selling out if not sold out. I had the regular beef pie. Nothing really special about it, I needed a bit of tomato sauce to help inject a bit more flavour into it as I found the gravy inside a bit lacking so it was a dry pie. Had a little bit of the sausage today which I found slightly more tasty. I wouldn’t necessarily drive all the way for the pies here but if you are in the area, it’s an alright option for a quick, cheap lunch.

*edit* also y'all need to stop using caster sugar in your coffee. It's not 2010. White sugar is for baking. Raw sugar is for coffee. Ordered coffee and it took about 10 minutes for the server to even start making them. Meanwhile we watched many people served while our drinks lay forgotten. I think They definitely need to get their coffee guy in to train all the staff in how to make coffee. One barista on Anzac day is not sustainable. On the plus side the coffee was actually pretty decent. Despite the fact that I'm fairly sure we were given reheated milk.

Absolutely divine esp the salted caramel eclairs so so good 👍👍 And mocha eclairs and Austria apple slice and vanilla slice all taste superb...the eclairs are one of the best I had eaten in victoria the choux pastry is so light n airy and so well combined with the light fresh cream not too sweet just the perfect sweetness.. 10/10 for me..
