We were excited to try this place given the high rating on social media, and we need to accumulate many good local restaurants we can happily personally recommend to tourists given our new business we've started here. We all carefully selected our meal choices before (trying to) place an order for our staff celebratory gathering tonight. Absolutely disgusted to discover even though we were so careful to place our order before 8.30pm when they closed, the owner decided to close online ordering well before 8.30pm! Their website error message insultingly advised we couldn't place the order as they were closed and we should check the opening times - Adamo it was NOT 8.30 yet or even that close, and you clearly state you are OPEN until 8.30 and do NOT state orders have to be made WELL before then!!! This caused an extremely inconvenient situation with all of us here, hungry and ready to enjoy our carefully selected meals but the dismal failure of Adamo to adhere to their advertised opening times left us desperately searching for alternatives right when restaurants were closing... We then looked at written reviews not just stars given online to see if this is what we should have expected, and lo and behold there's the Adamo owners responding to negative reviews taking no responsibility for the failures of their restaurant instead leaving insulting responses to negative reviews! One customer left them 3 stars not just 1 star even though they had issues with the food given, and this restaurant insultingly and arrogantly corrected the reviewer's spelling of bolognese sauce while thinly veiling their comments to pretend it was just for future reference - but anyone can see just how arrogant the owners of this place are given the comments there. They then berate that customer for their choice of ham and pineapple with the owners stating other ingredients are better, and telling them their restaurant may not be the "place" for them!! In another response to a negative reviewer who comments re 'true' pizzerias the owners assume those pizzerias are Melbourne based (who knows - they may have been in Italy!) then makes fun of and mocks the reviewer - shame on you Adamo, not the way to do business at all!! SO relieved we will have nothing further to do with these owners' arrogance and insulting attitude towards customers. The owners need a serious lesson in customer service and humility to understand it does not matter how good the food you prepare and serve may or may not be: what matters is treating your customers well! That includes not changing closing times suddenly to suit yourselves at the cost of customers about to place an order, and treating any customer with a valid complaint with respect not ridicule them for all to see. None of us will ever be trying to order from here ever again after this experience of the ridiculous closing of online orders before their closing time, and as a new large tourist based business in Geelong we believe the owners should stop believing they have the right to dictate people's taste preferences and simply dismiss complaints with passive aggressive sarcastic comments belittling customers. For all of us that's meant we actually think we dodged a bullet tonight when they shut down their restaurant early with no consideration of potential customers making their online order only to have it cancelled due to the place unexpectedly shutting before the advertised closing time, because now we can actively warn our tourist customers away from this place - and we know there are many, many extremely good restaurants we've already tried and can happily recommend so no need for Adamo and their terrible...

It is not an exaggeration to say that Pizzeria Adamo offers not only the best pizza in Geelong but, quite possibly, the best I’ve ever had in my life.
The secret to their mouth-watering pizzas lies in the expertise of their young pizza chef, whose culinary skills are nothing short of miraculous. Each pizza is a masterpiece of flavors, perfectly balanced and presented. The crust, oh the crust! It strikes a delightful balance between crispy and chewy, a testament to the chef’s mastery over the oven.
The toppings are always fresh, vibrant, and generous, creating a symphony of tastes in every bite. Whether it’s the classic Margherita with its rich tomato sauce and creamy mozzarella or something more adventurous, each pizza is crafted with a passion that is palpable.
And then there’s the ambiance. The warmth and hospitality of the staff make you feel right at home. The decor is charming, contributing to an atmosphere that’s both relaxed and inviting.
I would also like to extend a special compliment to the young pizza chef. Your incredible skill and dedication to your craft are evident in every pizza that comes out of your kitchen. You’re not just making pizzas; you’re creating edible art that leaves an indelible impression on the taste buds.
In conclusion, Pizzeria Adamo isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a culinary experience that transcends the ordinary. For anyone in Geelong or visiting the area, missing out on this gem would be a disservice to your taste...
Read moreToday I stepped into the wholesome mini Italy at Pizzeria Adamo after a long time and the smile I left with and the full belly and heart is unlike any you will experience from a true family business in Geelong. Adamo Serra himself graces you upon entry at the very front practicing an age old family tradition of pizza making at the woodoven with smiles and greetings from him and his entire team whom you can see straight off are truly grateful to work in such a loving and cultured environment. I was treated to the culinary efforts of the woman herself Laura whose skill in the kitchen coupled with love straight from her heart to the pan in creating amazing dishes in the kitchen.
What I truly love about Adamos is you can see everything. The kitchen both front and back as they tott around each other happily serving their customers and creating a true EatPrayLove experience with tunes, aesthetic and atmosphere that take you away to an afternoon or evening in a little Italian town.
I'm sincerely grateful to have experienced Adamos both at their initial venue on Ryrie street and can truly say that as they've grown as a business, they have if anything grown in heart and soul of how Italians will feed you and entertain you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart Adamo, Laura and all your smiling heartwarming family of staff, your hospitality and individualised experience to the delightful tastes of Italy leaving a satisfied sigh bite after bite.
If you want Italian and a true experience and getaway for the evening. Look no further than Pizzeria Adamos. Experience like these in hospitality are becoming truly hard to find.
