I was a regular customer at the Wangaratta subway and utilised the drive through for convenience as time is money and we have a short lunch break, on many occasions “after the drive through had been rectified from an issue unknown to the public” I was left there waiting with no one serving me what so ever, this happened on many occasions.
The straw that broke the camels back and the final time I would utilise “Subway Wangaratta” was when 3 young girls outside were pumping down cigarettes like they were the last ones in existence, I politely asked the young girls if the drive through was operational, they replied “yes”
I proceeded to wait for another 5 minutes with not a single person serving me, so I started to drive away, shortly after I was yelled out to as I drove away with smart remarks.

I’ve had repeated issues trying to redeem Subway’s promotional deals in-store, despite receiving official emails directly from Subway with the offers. Every time I’ve visited a local store, either the staff are unaware of the deal, or they outright refuse to honor it even when I show them the email.
This isn’t just a one-off inconvenience; it’s a consistent pattern that makes the promotions feel misleading. If Subway is going to advertise deals to customers, there should be clear communication and accountability across all franchise locations. Otherwise, it erodes trust and leaves customers feeling duped.
I understand that some stores may be independently owned, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of consistency. If a deal is sent out nationally, it should be honored nationally. I hope Subway takes this feedback seriously and improves the coordination between corporate promotions and franchise operations.
Until then, I’ll be reconsidering where I spend my...
