Super Rolls (Bubble Bar) — Restaurant in Victoria

I've left my old review down below, but am writing a new review since they've updated the menu and restaurant. Firstly, the new renovation looks great! A little bit more atmosphere and you feel more welcome to sit down and eat. Bubble/boba tea is still great! Unfortunately, although the menu is now much more comprehensive, it is not for me - not a big fan of Chinese style cooking, although there is considerably more options for all. Too much oil and they've removed the one thing I'd go out of my way for - the fried mushrooms! The service can also be improved as they always only have one person serving, taking orders and making drinks which means we got parts of our order wrong (jellies instead of white pearls, pork spring rolls instead of veggie - an unpleasant surprise to bite into pork as a vegetarian 😫). Implementing a QR ordering system might help ease the service a bit? Overall, it's fine but not for me. Won't be returning as much as I usually do, it's convenient since it's one of the places open after 8 in town.

Old Review of Bubble Bar (originally 5 stars): Was initially disappointed that there was only one vegetarian burger - the hot mushroom - but it was amazing! Fantasic food, bubble tea is great!

When I drove past this place today, I looked up what it was, thinking "Do we finally have another place for bubble tea in Geelong?!". The answer is YES, and that by itself was exciting for me, because I sure love my bubble tea.

Then we actually went inside and I found out they do food too. So we stayed for lunch.

Great decision that was, because the food was delicious. Chicken burger was awesome, not dry, good chicken and tasty all around. The other chicken we had was great too.

I've had plenty of bubble tea before, and the ones from here are worth coming back for. Again, and again, and again.

When I'm in town, I'll be here, I think I'll be a regular! Such a pleasant surprise to come across this place.

Bubble Bar has always been a favourite of mine. My go to order has always been sweet chilli chicken wrap and a side of sweet potato fries. The portions were always so generous that my partner or friends would have to help me finish the food. Last night I ordered my usual, and I was so disappointed. The price has gone back up, but the portions were sooooo small. The wrap was that skinny it wouldn't have even satisfied a small child. 1 measily piece of shredded lettuce, 2 of the smallest pieces of chicken made up the skinniest wrap Ive ever seen. Even the portion of chips had shrunk. We all left sad and still hungry and had to go elsewhere for a proper feed. What we thought would be a cheap dinner ended up an expensive night. Sadly wont...
