I recently had an incredible experience at The Rusty Spud in Ballarat. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the inviting atmosphere and unique decor. The space is beautifully lit, making it perfect for snapping photos without the need for editing or filters.
As for the food, it was an absolute delight. The variety of spuds on offer cater to different tastes, and I found the option to switch to sweet potato for just a small extra cost to be a great touch.
The service at The Rusty Spud is truly exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was memorable, making me feel right at home. I was particularly impressed by their "Tight Tuesdays" deals, providing excellent value for money.
The portions were generous and left us feeling satisfied.
Overall, The Rusty Spud is an awesome eatery that deserves all the praise it receives. It's a must-visit spot in Ballarat, offering not just fantastic food but also a warm and welcoming ambiance. I can't wait to make it my regular dining spot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed when you visit this...
Read moreI feel let down by this place. We were hyped to visit given the unique style of everything from atmosphere to limited menu. However we came at a time that was not busy. Firstly service was next to nothing. Despite being the only ones there, the lady behind the counter could not bring our meals to us. The whole meal was reheated by microwave. Open kitchen meant we heard everything. Not a classy look. I ordered the Pulled pork spud. I would have been lucky to have a tablespoon of pork and sauce in the whole bowl. My wife ordered the Mexican spud. She enjoyed hers and was a generous serving. I was too embarrassed to question the amount of pork served. Embarrassed to ask and embarrassed for the lady who served it. All meals were served swimming in sour cream.
This place has potential. Definitely won't be back. Nearly ordered a coffee but glad I didn't spend another cent there. $50 for 3 spuds was more...
Read moreI ordered a sweet potato from here and a bowl of nachos and they were expertly prepared in a very timely manner. The wait time was clearly outlined as they need a little extra time to cook the new batch of sweet potatoes, which allowed me time to finish off some other errands before picking up my meals. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Although this was a takeaway order, the sit down area was well laid out and would look as though it would be an inviting area to sit down and enjoy a meal. Lovely artwork for sale was displayed on the walls as well as a range of gifts available for purchase. I would strongly recommend getting a baked potatoe or bowl of nachos from here. I will be back to sample more...
