What an absolute joke. Felt sorry for the kid learning how to do his job and not having any support from his coworkers to the extent that I had to ask one of the 4 other staff members to help him out as I'd asked for a burito, bowl, and dose capas. It was extremely frustrating to watch the experienced staff members leave him to figure his way while I waited 25minutes for my food. My burito was deconstructed, it completely fell apart. My taco shells were broken and soggy because the experienced staff member didn't tell him to drain the meat before putting it on the food. I was disappointed with the service from the experienced staff members not the kid learning his job. Help should be offered at all times and a person learning shouldn't be made to feel stupid or as if he is being a burden asking for help. The kid learning did an exceptional job of maintaining patience while being completely ignored when asking for help, his coworkers made it known he 'should' know how to do his job but it really was out of his control. I hope he didn't get anymore attitude from his coworkers after I left, they definitely need a mature experienced manager on roster when learners...
Read moreWhen I first walked in both the young employees were mucking around with each other. I patiently waited first in line as the restaurant was empty. All the food trays were empty and bits of food were scatted across the counter and through the kitchen. After a few minutes one said she’d be with me in a moment and asked if I knew what I wanted I replied with yes I do, no worries - to which she responded with ‘what is it’ in a blunt tone. As I proceeded replying yes or no to her muttering items at me without looking at me she coughed while making my burrito. This was before dinner rush and I felt like I was burdening her for ordering food from a food vendor. Regardless - food was still delicious but perhaps this Zambrero could take more pride in their workplace, hygiene and...
Read moreSo today I had both zambreros and gyg, and I do have to say that zambreros took the lead. In terms of total flavour in every bite, Zambreros won... I had chicken loaded nachos from both joints, and zambreros offered an overall better composition of flavours than gyg, however, gyg did offer a better tasting chicken. The gyg chicken was the only thing making the dish somewhat okay, zambreros chicken combined with the guac, onions, corn, salsa, sour cream, jalapenos and Chipotle was absolutely, for lack of a better word, "scrumdididlyumptious" .
Gyg, be better. Zambreros, I'll be back, better chicken is all I ask for...
Sincerely, I guy who probably has too much time...
