We received a friendly greeting from Aruna at front of house on our arrival for our lunch booking at Masala Corner. We ordered pre lunch Corona beers and proceeded to look through the extensive menu. So many choices! We had decided on our mains to share and Naan bread, of course , but thought it might be good to ask for a recommendation from Aruna for a starter to share. The Chicken Tikka was the perfect suggestion. It came out on a sizzling platter accompanied by onion, cucumber and rocket. The chicken was tender and the spices were perfect with a medium spice level as requested. Our Mains were Saag Gosht, Prawn Vindaloo, Garlic Naan and Green Peas Pulao ( Rice with green peas and tomatoes). The Saag Gosht ( Lamb with Curry sauce and spinach) medium spice level, was absolutely delicious. The lamb was tender and the sauce was perfectly spiced. The Naan bread was a great accompaniment to soak up the delicious sauce, so too the Green Pea Pulao. The Prawn Vindaloo was ordered at medium heat level and packed an extra punch as Vindaloos normally do. This dish was another winner. Masala Corner is a fabulous addition to Wangaratta’s dining choices and we look forward to our next visit to explore the vast menu further. Thank you Aruna and the wonderful team in...

Masala Corner, the gem of Indian cuisine in Wangaratta, truly stands out as the best Indian restaurant in the area. From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The menu is a delightful journey through the diverse flavors of India, offering a perfect balance of traditional dishes and innovative culinary creations.

The Butter Chicken is a must-try, with its rich, creamy sauce and tender chicken that melts in your mouth. The Lamb Rogan Josh is equally impressive, boasting a deep, flavorful gravy that perfectly complements the succulent meat. For vegetarians, the Paneer Tikka Masala and the array of lentil dishes are both hearty and satisfying.

The naan bread, fresh from the tandoor, is the perfect accompaniment to any meal, and the biryani dishes are fragrant and beautifully spiced. The attention to detail in every dish reflects the chef’s passion for Indian cuisine.

The service at Masala Corner is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who are more than happy to make recommendations. Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian food or trying it for the first time, Masala Corner is a culinary experience not to be missed...

Such an amazing place this is. We’ve recently moved into the area and have already been here three times.

Each time, we’ve been greeted with the warmest smile from the owner. Every dish we’ve ordered has been extremely satisfying. Masala Corner knows their spice well. We’ve gone to other Indian places and asked for ‘hot,’ but we usually receive a mildly spicy dish. However, Masala Corner really means business with their spice levels—when they say hot, they truly mean it.

The menu itself is vast. We’re still yet to try every dish, but based on what we’ve tried so far, it looks promising. Their drinks and sides also complement each dish incredibly well.

The pricing of the food is also fair for the quality. I can’t think of anything that Masala Corner needs to improve—they should just keep doing exactly what they’re doing, and we’ll keep...

Absolutely delighted to find such a wonderful place. I was heading with my Family to Melbourne, googled the place and so glad I came across this restaurant. Delicious food, awesome service and very warm and welcoming people. The staff was polite and friendly, taking care of customers’ convenience. It appears to be a family business with everyone so kind to each other. The chefs did a wonderful job and the food was hygienic and scrumptious. Took masala mushroom and ordered it twice in one sitting. The serving seems a little small but totally valid with the quality. A kind suggestion to the owner to put/ update menu on google maps as it does not show everything that this place has to offer.

The food is amazing super flavorful. The prawn masala is probably one of the best I've ever had. One complain I do have is it's overflowing in this tiny bowl. It spills even before I try to spoon something out. Makes it very hard to spoon out to eat. My partner had a biryani and that was also amazing, the stone bowl prob helps with the smokey scent and flavour. We also got mango lassi. And I would advise against it if you're going in thinking it will be mango and yoghurt. I have had a lot of lassi in my days, this is the first time my lassi is spicy, not hot it just has spices in it. Very heavy cardamom definitely not for me. Go for lemon lime bitters instead.
