As a fellow worker in the McDonald's food industry I can understand a few occasional mishaps, customers perhaps changing there orders, mishearing words, and maybe just grabbing the wrong burger or grabbing the wrong drink by accident. But when these mishaps are a constant occurrence in your store I believe that perhaps you need to take a hard look at your damn training methods, not only of your crew members but also perhaps your management crew who appear to be more so or if not more hopeless then the terribly trained crew on your registers. You are dealing with not only peoples food but their money as well and that needs to be taken with a certain level of seriousness. So when a customer orders a McChicken burger i see no reason why a cheeseburger should be in the bag in its place. If a customer asks for a burger WITHOUT THE BUN that isn't a suggestion they're not saying 'maybe i'd like a bun but maybe i wouldn't you know what just surprise me' there is a good chance that they didn't want it there due to medical reasons and you're inability to follow such a simple order is not only an inconvenience but also dangerous. You have made yourself a laughing stock throughout the local community and nearby stores, I would like to take now to suggest serious revision of your training methods [perhaps bring in a professional or somebody who is actually capable of fulfilling the required tasks of our oh so simple job]. To be perfectly honest with you at this point I think you should just be shut down and perhaps seek training in another industry as you really aren't succeeding with fast food at this current moment. Pick up your game, get your orders right, and if you do stuff up make sure you're compensating your customers for...
Read moreOrder at 10:45pm, so go to walk in door is locked and is drive thru only. No dramas doing that, so go to the drive thru ordered our meal and side a ask for 4 sweet n sour sauces. Just as a we better check the bag, pull up in the car park out the front. Check bag, no sauces to be seen. Alright a little difficult can't get any team members attention at the door, so think we will call the stores number. So first call didn't go through, just rang our so try again and rang out again!! So frustrating!!! Alright go back through the drive through tell the team member no sauces were in the bag even though we had paid for them. So get back to the order window, in a bag was our 4 sauces the same team member gave us the bagb. No apologises and too distracted talking to her team member then concentrating on the customer us. So all good now, mine cause of alarm was no sauce but that has been sorted now. I completely understand that everyone is short of staff, no dramas I get it, but don't be hiring anyone just because you are short of staff. The two girls in the order window clearly didn't want to be working tonight and it relected on the service that they delivered. But for me it was the waste of diesel having to go through the drive thru twice, so make sure that you double check your order bag. We all know mistakes happen and they can be fixed but just go easy. I wouldn't be rushing back not they I have maccas that often but I live out of town and after a night of bowling the kids wanted a maccas treat for...
Read moreWe stopped at Wangaratta McDonalds this morning to have breakfast. It is located next door to an Apco Service Station but with its own parking spaces. The food was hot and well packaged when we received it and our order was correct. We ordered two hot drinks from McCafé which were piping hot when we hit them and my hot chocolate was certainly one of the best I’ve ever had from any Maccas. The dining room was spotless, bins were regularly emptied and there was no mess in the floor or tables. As soon as somebody was finished the area was cleaned down completely. The toilets were spotlessly clean, there was plenty of toilet paper and hand soap and the hand dryers worked, which is rare in my experience. The staff were all very friendly and efficient and it was a pleasant place to dine with children. The playground area was also clean and tidy which can often be overlooked. We will return here next time we are passing through Wangaratta and need something to eat. The staff here are to be commended on the way they do their jobs both in keeping the restaurant so clean and today and their...
