Visited this restaurant 3 months ago. I still haven't overcome the way the Caucasian female had treated us while dining with my family, friends and children. The waitress had a very bad attitude towards us as Indian. Reason unknown. I observed for my table she placed a stack of cutlerys on the edge of the table for us to pick n pass it around. Whereas there was a Aussie couple next to us served the spoons in an appropriate manner. She spaced the cutlery in order next to their plates. For my table she placed a jug of water on the edge of the table but other tables who were non Indian she was filling up the glasses with water and placed the jug at the centre of the table. The foods that were bought in she left them out at the edge again while I was passing it around to others in my table. Whereas she was able to individually serve the food at their seating area in other non Indian tables. We were a group of 7, 3 kids n 4 adults. One of my friend who is new to Australia didn't know that cider was alcohol he thought it was a frizzy drink. The kids also starting having a sip. After having a sips himself called in the waitress and asked her if this is alcohol her reply with a disgusting look and manner said "yea it's cider duhhh" my friend didn't get an answer whether it was an alcoholic drink. She walked away. He spent couple of minutes reading through the sticker on the bottle to realise it is alcoholic. He rcalled the waitress again and said he wanted to return the drink. She grabbed the bottle and said "you don't want it?" She walked towards the counter and started talking to someone behind the wall pointing fingers towards us. I wish her discussion could have been done discreetly n not making my friend belittle. Yes my friend might have made a mistake in ordering not knowing however Yes Or No reply would have be appropriate rather than attitude n mocking body language. We still paid for the cider that he didn't drink. I did wonder how come she had a pleasing smile n body language towards others in the restaurant except us. We spent over 2 hours at that place and I could differentiate her services towards certain group of people n Indians.
The food was average. The wait was to long over 45 minutes after entrees. My kids were going crazy to due to the long wait and they were all under 5yrs old. If there was food on the table on time it would have been easier to finish up n leave the restaurant. Tried to manage them the best we could I do realise its a business place. The longer the food took to come to their tables they couldn't sit still in their chairs. The curries were cold like taken out from the fridge n not microwaved properly. As more customers coming in and our order got delayed more. Our group was the first in the restaurant. All I could say was I wasn't comfortable in that restaurant due to the attitude n discriminatory behaviours. It's been over 3 months and this had been bothering me since then. Hope expressing my thoughts to the restaurant owners helps them change their business strategy and wish...
Read moreI visited this restaurant yesterday and, unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfying. The prices were quite high, which would have been acceptable if the service and food quality lived up to it — but sadly, they didn’t.
The service was poor — we had to wait a long time just to get a repeat of naan bread, which really disrupted the meal.
We ordered Seekh Kebabs, which were the only highlight — nicely cooked and flavorful. However, the Paneer Pakoras were a letdown — extremely small in size and not worth the price.
We ordered Lamb Karahi and Chicken Karahi, but instead of chicken, we were served Paneer. We didn’t make a fuss, but even the paneer was hard — it seemed like it was cut straight from the packet and not soaked at all. Both curries had the same overly sweet masala, with no real depth or variation. The vegetables were missing in action — no signs of the crunchy capsicum or onions that make Karahi dishes pop. Everything was soft and soggy.
I’ve worked as a chef for 13 years, earned my Australian residency through this profession, and Indian cuisine has always been my specialty. Based on that experience, I can confidently say: You’d probably make better Indian food at home — take my word for it.
To anyone considering this place — think twice before spending your hard-earned money here. Food should be an experience worth remembering. Sadly,...
Read moreOne of the worst and racist restaurant.. We went as family for dining during our holiday,, Food was served really really slow (took 50 mins) to serve our order although the restaurant was not too busy.
The australian lady who served our table was extremely rude and threw her worst ever attitude and hand gestures were made directly on our children which was completely humiliating, Will never recommend and also planning to lodge a complaint with vic business on their service., Please be aware!!
Cant reply to your response, So updating my original ;post Customer facing roles need patience and politeness. I dont see any such qualities in either of the staffs who attended us, There is a way to present your thoughts and lack it clearly, Now, dont come back with the lame excuse blaming it on 2 year old . This again shows the racist nature, I will definitely take you to facebook and other social media and consumer complaintments, This will be lesson for you and your staffs to know how to treat everyone with equality and respect, At the end of day we also pay dollars for the food and service you provide and we command...
