Unfortunately average, at least for takeaway experience Came here (out of town) at recommendation of friend, eat in was booked out, so was happy to buy takeaway, and ordered their headline bulgogi beef ($23.90) set and squid karaage ($11). For 24 dollars, received a cup's worth of meat that was at most what you see in 15$ bentos, and small portions of seaweed and vegetable/kimchi sides (plus tiny cup of miso)- the meat was ok, maybe a bit too salty. And for 11 dollars, received around 6 small clamari rings (albeit unbreaded and with side of mayo). Hard to argue against the higher general ratings, but stings a bit paying 35$ for this, so would just recommend beware of portions and dishes if you're going to get takeaway and/or are coming from the city.

This place is excellent! The service, the food, the presentation were all amazing and the price was reasonable for the amount of food served. I had the katsu chicken curry and the family had the beef bulgogi and chicken katsu set and we had the veggie gyoza and corn cheese as entrees. Everything was delicious! I also tried the plum tea which was very tasty! Would definitely go there again next time we go thru Warwick.

Great atmosphere from the entrance to inside. Prompt, friendly service. Food is traditionally presented and taste delicious. Tofu is some of the best I've had. Bulgogi was great.

Both Myself and My Japanese Wife's experience wasn't a typical Japanese greeting nor was the food up to our basics standards ( way below Japanese standards) as an introduction stand point I was shocked for the total billing....... way too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-

  1. even a cheap shop (1$ store in japan) will greet you as you walk in the store- this shop did NOT DO THIS... nor hold the door open, or welcome you from a distance. Once myself and my wife were seated - then we both felt welcomed.. ( I am implying for Under 500 yen food corse, $5.00 roughly you will get better service and Better food anywhere in tokyo or anywhere in japan for that matter.. this shops standards need to be raised..........for that kinda of cash they charge)
  2. the food was ok, midioka! I wish I could say a better comment towards the food, but honestly I can't, it was very average! a little harsh, come to japan and eat at Yoshinoya (example), its everywhere, basically the same food, cheaper, menu doesnt eceed 1000yen(10$ bucks), quick & easy service and clean environment . I understand a business trying to make a living, I only say this.

Take Pride in your work, customer service & don't forget your japanese tradition. (even in aussies lifestyle) never forget what you started...... keep that standard up -or give up.. or will only get worse in time.

To be honest I am a little biased cause I live and work in Japan for over 30 years.

My critique is, customer service, the food is ok, can get better if you want to try.

There's no complaining to this restaurant. It's really good. Great atmosphere great food, especially the bu go gi beef dish. I love the way Korea and Japan slice their beef to make dishes like this. Also people whine about the small spiced cabbage and the seaweed side. Those are topping for the main dish and you should eat the Miso soup first. Everything on your food tray should be eaten altogether. The service is so kind and helpful. When my tea was spilt by staff ( I feel guilty for not emptying my cup) they replace it with another. I do feel like $3.90 is a bit much fora cup of tea. But this tea was worth it, there's always the option to get a pot of it. I'll try that next time. But yeah really great place if you know what to get and how to eat it (there are forks and knives) . Really great food. Would go again and get the Bu go gi beef again or katsudon. Those are my...
