【First of all, this review only reflects my feelings. It's about how we had one dish that tasted stale. The chef cooks well, but the beef I had was kind of sour, and the owner's attitude is **.】
I used to love this restaurant, it was always great. However, last week when I brought my friends to dine there, we noticed a sour taste in the dishes, indicating spoilage. While it wasn't nauseating, it was definitely not fresh. I understand restaurants can't always use the freshest ingredients, many are frozen or stored in refrigerators. But I believe chefs should check for signs of spoilage. When we raised the issue, the chef responded very negatively. I will be removing this restaurant from my favorites list and won't be returning.
Reply: Please don't try to make yourself look like you're shouting loudly with capital letters, it looks foolish.
I used to deliver meals for you as an Uber Eats driver and sometimes dined at your place.
Perhaps your brain can only store memories for up to three days, so you might not remember me, that's okay.
But I hope you can remember to check your groceries for spoilage daily.
If you can't remember, please write it down and stick it on the wall. :)
Very last, as we aksed you many times but you didn't answer: You said you didn't use vinegar or lemon during the preserving process, so why does the dish have a sour taste?
Reply 2: My tongue is brilliant, so I can taste that your beef is not fresh. If you can't see that, and you can't provide correct food, go do other business. Find something you can do without relying on your tongue and brain.
We only didn't want to pay for the beef because it was not fresh. We didn't want to pay for your fault - providing stale food. We are still happy to pay for the rest, your cooking was good, but just the beef was not fresh.
I don't want to waste any more of my time replying to you, this is really silly. Wishing you all the best...
Read moreDefinitely DO NOT waste your money. My housemate and I ordered almost $100 worth of food through UberEats and they sent a bicycle Uber so that probably didn’t help. We are frequent Asian flavour food eaters....but the food was all very low standard, very oily and not worth wasting your time if you like Asian flavours. BBQ Pork Buns - hard as a rock, cold and flavour-less. Crispy Pork Belly - definitely not crispy, very oily. Squid Tentacles - extremely oily, over cooked and not a lot of the flavour as described. Steak Noodle Soup - smallest piece of steak we’ve seen with these type of soups, also had a star anise/clove flavour to the liquid that I wouldn’t expect anyone to eat. Now, I don’t usually waste my time reviewing but in this case I have as the phone call to the lady answering the phone alerted me to the fact that this may be happening a lot. Pretty much 2 sentences in she interrupted me and said we don’t do give moneyback. Considering how quickly she led to that comment, my guess is that my type of phone call is happening frequently!! Not interested in a reply or refund - just want to alert other people before you spend your hard earned money on very poor food, sub-standard customer service, and a negative attitude from someone that couldn’t care less what the...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The ingredients used were not fresh; the beef was extremely sour, as were the green beans. What's concerning is the owner's response - for the beef, one dish was cooked with mushrooms, and he attributed the sourness to that. However, another dish had no vinegar, lemon, or mushrooms, yet it still tasted sour. Clearly, the beef was not fresh. As for the green beans, some were sour while others were fine, which indicates inconsistency. I would not recommend this place and will be leaving a negative review.
When we went to the restaurant, there were six of us ordering seven dishes. The first beef dish arrived, and each person had only eaten about two to three pieces when I noticed the sourness. It wasn't until I had my third piece that I realized it was sour. When we raised the issue, the owner's response was, 'Why didn't you mention it after the first piece? You've already eaten so much.' They also claimed there was no vinegar in it and blamed the sourness on cooking it with mushrooms. I found this explanation hard to accept, but I had a feeling they would respond like this, hence my preemptive explanation." I am so so so angry about the food...
