Zambrero Bassendean — Restaurant in Western Australia

The food is fine but the servings vary by up to 25% depending on who serves you. As I buy the exact same thing (although occasionally in the bigger size) this is easy to gauge. When I brought my concern to the attention of the staff member the last time she actually had the audacity to suggest that I didn’t know the difference between a regular and a big. I know what the thing I buy at least once a week should look like and I known I should not be able to see the bottom of the bowl when they’re done (in 3 places mind) regardless of what size. Even though she admitted to being new and forgot twice what was supposed to be included, and she served it up in the back rather than in front of me as usual, at no point did she offer to check with a more experienced staff member to check if she had done it correctly and even after saying it wasn’t as per usual and I was not happy, merely offered me more lettuce, which almost made me laugh since they’re already half lettuce by volume as it is.

Got a wrap- very disappointed. Usually they toast the wrap first then add filling. Not this time. The wrap was made then, when I asked about it being toasted, the serving girl said it had been toasted. I thought I might not have seen her but my friend was watching the whole time and said it wasn't toasted at all. Lying to Customers is very unprofesional. Then, to make it worse the girl said 'We toast them at the end and under the toaster it went, salad and all, wrapped in alfoil. You shouldn't toast salad. The alfoil was toasted into the wrap and I had to pick pieces of alfoil out of the wrap to avoid it getting stuck in my teeth. My friend didn't fare much better. The same serving girl made him Nachos without microwaving the meat first. The meat was stone cold. He got a refund. I ate mine and felt very sick this morning. Definately wont be going back to that Zambreros store anytime. Really...

Wow I have rarely been so disappointed. The quesadillas and burritos are bland, with no cheese that I could spot even when ordering extra cheese, it's just very soft flat bread around some tasteless goo and undercooked rice. Tried to spot the chicken and the beef, it's less than 5% of the overall filling, and it's a watery puree...calling this Mexican food is blatantly insulting a whole culture, and let's not talk about the ridiculous price.
