Cold Rock Ice Creamery Hillarys — Restaurant in Western Australia

Below average quality, stupidly expensive for ice cream (you can get a great quality genuine gelato at other places for cheaper), And the biggest problem I had was the Staff are extremely rude and more worried about having their own little conversations behind the counter instead of serving customers with a smile. The young lady that served me yesterday was extremely rude, she had a very sour look on her face and used words like what do you want and huh. Also by the time we got the ice cream, it was literally completely melted in the cup and was not even mixed properly, dripping all down the sides and made our fingers and hands completely sticky. What an absolute disappointment and definitely not a treat!

Edit: Reply to cold rocks reply. We visited your store around 5 pm on Saturday 4th January. There is no need for you to verify our visit, but you can put those high definition CCTV cameras to use and look at your staff mucking around and too busy talking to each other instead of serving customers. Clearly, this store is very poorly managed and I suggest that you please stop replying with these generic replies to every negative review you receive, this clearly shows how much the managers/operators care about this business. Cold Rock Hillarys was pretty good. The store was clean, there was no queue when we went in, and the service was friendly and quick. My mix was actually really tasty, and there’s a huge range of flavours and add-ins to choose from.

That said, it felt a bit underwhelming. There wasn’t much explanation about how it works or what combos are popular. A few staff picks or suggestions would’ve made it feel a bit more fun and helped if you were unsure what to order.

Wonderful ice cream, and fantastic service. But there was an Indian manager or boss there tonight that was incredibly rude to the staff. One of the servers was chewed out because she didn’t help us soon enough which is super fine! We don’t expect super fast service, it’s all good. And it definitely didn’t warrant this manager’s response, who berated this poor girl.

We felt so sorry for her, she really is amazing and was doing her best. Only regret is that we didn’t speak up, as we should’ve stood up for her.
