Hungry Jack's Burgers Claremont — Restaurant in Western Australia

I’m fully aware that this establishment does not care about its reviews whatsoever, so I’m only posting this review to drop their public rating and possibly reach out to anyone who is in the area late at night with no place to go other than this pathetic excuse for a fast food joint: do not come here, no matter how hungry you are!

Before I begin, my expectations for fast food joints are already low, but this is just insane.

1. The manager is borderline abusive to the young staff that work here. He is rowdy, disrespectful and always publicly “deals” with his employees in front of customers.

2. The poorest customer service I’ve ever seen. Tonight, my mother and I needed a drink and only the drive-thru was open, but according to the sign stuck on the entrance door, the after hours window didn’t close until 10PM. We arrived at around 9:52 (there were two other young men waiting as well, having stood there for three minutes prior). The staff inside were ignoring us entirely, looking us dead in the eyes yet refusing to serve us although the window didn’t close for another eight minutes. We walked around to the drive-thru window to see a young girl who we planted our feet in front of, angered by the total lack of respect and response from the employees despite being polite and reminding them of their own closing hours. A few eye-rolls and blatant arrogance from this girl later, we collectively gave up.

3. A health inspection is LONG overdue. This place reeks, and not just the subtle stench of grease you get in every chain, but beyond filthy. The floor is always sticky, dirty and stained as if it’s never been mopped. I’ve seen cockroaches run across the floors.

4. They don’t control the people who enter or hang around in the area and there’s zero security. There are gangs of teenagers who cause extreme disturbance on top of homeless people who follow you around.

This is the worst Hungry Jacks I’ve ever visited in Australia, and a lot of people seem to agree. I’m seriously tempted to start a petition to destroy this joint and replace it with a McDonalds.

TL;DR: do not visit this pathetic excuse for a fast foot joint unless you want to run the risk of finding a roach in your “burger”, get treated like garbage by young and entitled employees, suffer the volume of the manager’s screaming, ruin your shoes walking all over the filthy floor and/or get harassed by teenagers who smoke inside the...

Horrific! Worst time I have ever been to a Hungry Jack! Make sure you do not go anywhere near this store even if slightly busy. Drive through is very difficult as cars in opposite direction lining up won't let you in. So I chose instore pick up which was a shambolic experience to say the least. Staff not knowing what to do, giving out wrong orders, not communicating with those waiting at counter with online orders for acknowledgement that their order is or isn't being made, items left out of orders, at least four people had to try and get attention after finally getting their orders to receive forgotten item after proving to them the contents omitted. My Kids Meals for grandchildren were just slung into a paper bag! Not like said picture in menus. The rip off price of 6 nuggets, a water, a less than full small chips, 1 barbie toy wrist band $8.95 each (but more if you choose a small oj) was the last straw really. An app special of $4 chicken royal and water - was the water they left out after dumping my order infront of me without even acknowledging me. By that time I watched the uber driver with one order have to wait for another for another 15 mins before receiving the second order. All this with the car park full, the counter area teaming with people wanting to ask questions re purchases, others ordering on screens, uber drivers waiting and no Manager to be seen.....Truly disappointing experience. I felt for the young staff as much as they tried it was just too chaotic......Perhaps a new store, better drive through, better parking, more staff, a bigger counter area and more management should be on the cards - sooner rather than later! Not usually one to review publicly however for the sake of others I feel this experience required review. Firstly I must comment on the ridiculous wait times (indicative of severely short staff) - this evening I waited 20 minutes to even have my order heard. I have waited longer about a month ago and assumed this was a once-off with COVID affected staff etc yet it appears new management are so focussed on the bottom line they are showing complete disregard for customer experience and staffing as lean as possible. This follows into my second point of staff attitude - I placed a very basic order only to be met with a smaller sized chips than ordered, 11 nuggets instead of twelve along with a double burger provided instead of a triple. Rather than simply acknowledging her mistake, the server proceeded to mock the mistakes and rather scrutinise me for even checking my food in the first place (I shouldn’t have even needed to check the quantities I ordered and paid for…). Once the revised order arrived I was again met with attitude for checking my order, summing up an experience that has not only resulted in my last visit to Hungry Jacks Claremont yet also my last visit to the Hungry Jacks franchise. I’m sorry Hungry Jacks - I have been a long term customer for multiple years and am sad to see the end of what used to be a successful Claremont branch but as a result of blatant poor management I have no choice. I hope this notice serves as a warning to others - vote with your feet. One day I may return when it becomes apparent the management has changed and a customer focus has returned yet by tonight’s experience I fear this day may be a long time coming…until then I am just glad I...
