I waited 15 mins today for my order and when I received it the food was cold, as it had been sitting there, along with several other orders waiting to be delivered, for an extended period of time. I approached the Manager at the counter and simply asked for a refund which he initially refused to give me. Rather than simply give me a refund he made totally unfounded accusations and tried to put the blame on me the customer. What he was saying did not even make sense. I stood my ground, then showed my payment, which he initially ignored, Finally, after much to and fro, he reluctantly gave me a refund after my continued insistence and refusal to back down. I asked for his name and the customer complaints number at the end of the process and he flatly refused either and walked away. I advised him that he was understaffed, as there was only one Junior doing all of the work and she was clearly overloaded. He disputed this, yet for most of the time I was waiting, he was at the back of the store and instead could have been assisting her during this peak period. I also advised the Manager that the restaurant was filthy, as most of the tables were dirty, with food waste left on them, and discarded food and containers clearly visible on the floor. This store has not been well managed in recent times and it is often not in a fit state of cleanliness and hygiene suitable to eat in. Although I have been a semi regular customer at this store for some time, given the unprofessional behaviour from the Manager today, together with the poor state of the cleaning, I will not be returning. I would certainly not recommend this Spearwood Hungry Jacks to anyone under its current management. The behaviour of the Manager was unacceptable and not at the level required for the position.    Read moreThey don't know how to toast a burger bun here. Numerous times I've asked for double toasted and only one side has been lightly toasted. Had to wait 25 minutes for an extra double toasted burger which was marked as such but came out cold and untoasted. Deliberate joke or poor quality control? I don't know what's happened, but HJs have really dropped the ball in the last few years across all their stores but Spearwood is particularly disappointing. The burger buns are always untoasted and the fillings are slapped in there. I am still waiting on a meal replacement voucher that was supposedly posted to me weeks ago but never arrived. They're not doing anything about replacing it. "The burgers are cold and almost inedible at Hungry Jacks" should be their motto! Edit: today I decided to give them another go. The burgers were stone cold and the chips half filled. The affogato looked nothing like the picture, it was all melted and squashed in a cup that was not the visible display one. I decided to complain only about the chips because they never do anything about the burgers or anything else. I was told by one of the managers last time that they don't toast the buns which are warmed instead. They kindly replaced the cold, half empty chips today but I had to heat my burgers in the microwave and drink my soggy affogato. Do yourselves a favour and don't go to Hungry Jacks Spearwood.    Read moreIm appaled by the food tonight at hungry jacks spearwood im pregnant and my partner and i come to this resturant quite abit and mostly we get reasonably fresh to just cooked fresh food but tonight between the under cooked gritty onion rings to the stale and stiff chips i feel revolted and sick. And that is without taking a bite of the burger which was supposed to have no mayonaise as im allergic and has had it just scrapped from the top of the bun like that is appropriate? If someone orders something i would expect a fresh burger whether allergic or just dislikes the tastes so now i cant even enjoy or fill up on my burger. i wouldve thought health and safety or atleast your training wouldve covered this and i could expect not to be poisoned by your food. What if i hadnt have checked taken a bite and something happened to me.. OR WORSE MY UNBORN CHILD there wouldve been alot to answer for by the staff manger owner and your resturant chain. I hope you retrain your staff and they realise the consequences that couldve happened tonight i am utterly appalled by tonights events and i want this to be known and something done. I hope your resturant cares enough to read and take action and measures.
