my expectations for sushi train is usually really low because sushi train doesn't ever have a lot of sushi i personally like on the train and i always have to order, plus the hot food that's on the train gets cold and the cold food gets warm and they never seem super fresh to me. but i went to this sushi train anyways ! was in the mood for sushi and it was near by. the service is fine, workers were doing their job well, everything is fine in that aspect. my problem here comes in the food and atmosphere. nothing is the workers fault it's all just branding and menu and recipe. so first of all the vibes r a bit off because it's super empty and there's almost nothing on the sushi train. the food on the train doesn't look that good so i take a look at the menu to see if i can order anything and the menu is the exact same. haha .... i've already committed by taking a seat so i can't just walk out. so i eat what i hope is enjoy based on my preferences. i LOVE lotus chips so i try the lotus chips they have and idk how but they somehow made lotus chips taste bad ? all u have to do is fry a slice of lotus and add salt. the lotus chips tasted so bland and it tasted like air, it wasn't even crunchy enough. the portion is tiny but it's sushi train so i get that but it doesn't even come with a sauce so i'm eating lotus chips with wasabi and soy sauce for some reason 😭😭😭😭😭 next thing i pick is salmon nigiri, the rice is not really good in my opinion, the rice doesn't seem very good quality and it's a bit hard. the salmon is okay quality for sushi train and for the price. i'm not very upset but it's just sad that the temperature of the sushi is so warm temperature. usually sushi trains i go to have the ice packs in the plate to keep it fresh. i could have ordered the nigiri so it's fresh i guess but that takes away the train experience. after that i have a few inverted rolls, one with salmon again and what i think is the spicy kewpie mayo, also very lacklustre. i'm eating a lot of ginger cause im so hungry but i don't want to waste money on the food they have at this point. and just before i leave i eat a taiyaki. it is so incredibly tiny, cold, and not crunchy at all. but it actually tastes really good. it surprised me . the taiyaki was good even tho it doesn't seem house made but it was good enough to forgive all other issues imo to an extent. thank god they accept amex too hehe!
tldr: sushi warm, warm food cold, tasteless food, service was...
Read moreI’ll be honest, there’s food and there’s rubbish. Lots of disrespect for the food by the owners.
Ordered the beef teriyaki and like other reviews here, it tasted off - sour, smelt bad and just not right. I don’t know if it’s even beef. Rice was not even hot and the vegetables tasted like they’ve been left over for a day or two.
Seriously someone needs to check the food standards here because staff are on their phones whilst making...

Generous servings of Crispy chicken & Teriyaki beef. Both Bentos were delicious. Both Bento came with miso soup, steamed rice, salad, 2 sushi rolls & 3 tempura veggies plus the protein item. Delicious & amazing value for $13 each. We will...
