This place seem to be always under stress. It was not the first time, we had bad service. I ordered a coffee and an apple turnover. Apple turnover was half frozen. I requested the lady to warm it up. I finished by coffee but the turnover never came. I reminded her. When I finally got it, cream was just oozing out it. The pastry was soggy. It is such a beautiful spot. The manager really needs to supervise what is going on. Last time we came, it was around 3.30. She forgot to give us our coffee and then she gave us our cake on a paper tray. We were told they were about to class. Question is why to let people in and take their order .

Enjoyed a morning tea at Miss Mauds this morning. The staff were excellent, polite and eloquent. The restaurant was well spaced for Covid-19 safety and was very clean. The feel was authentic as I used to go to Miss Mauds many years ago. I ordered a Pot of tea (English Breakfast) and a Princess slice, a caked I loved as a kid. The presentation of my tea was impeccable (check out my photos). The Princess Slice was very enjoyable with the marzipan delicious. Bit everyone’s cup of tea but definitely mine. The marzipan was slightly grainy but apart from that delicious.

The Apple Strudel is one of the popular desserts that I would recommend to foreign visitors. The taste of this slice was not bad. The taste of the medium-dark roasted coffee was neither bitter nor acidic. The air conditioning of the centralized evap system at this location was acceptable. There are lots of food court tables just a few steps away from this corner store near the Coles. Quite convenience. Enjoy! (2023-12)

Avoid Sunday as it’s very busy! Unfortunately there were only 2 waitresses and a guy serving the counter and waiting at the tables! Two more were in the kitchen. The waitress were quite fast in getting the orders through but the orders took more than 20 mins just for 2 cups of coffee and 2 slices of cake!! Bad enough the coffee took forever the cake came 15 minutes later and the coffee was cold by then! Many customers were waiting, some even walked away! The serving method should change. Customers should order at the counter, pay and waitresses should just deliver the orders to the tables! The whole dine in experience is stressful and frustrating! Thank Goodness the cakes are worth the wait! Please try to impart this feedback into better customer service. The waitresses are quite rude and not helpful. Can’t blame them as they are obviously stressed trying to cope with so...

Best part of the experience was how quickly we were served and leaving. Everything in between was a mess.

Ordered Eggs Benedict and a lemon iced tea. Eggs came out with next to no sauce and didn’t even have the ham with it. Sent that back and was asked if instead of remaking it just to put the ham on the side. By this time the drink only just came out and the only thing iced was the girls cold attitude, so I had to ask for a cup of ice because apparently you have to assemble you’re own meal and drinks here.

They took the drink off the total cost of the bill but honestly even when I gave feedback at the counter they seemed uninterested and I doubt it even got passed on.

First and last time I will be...
