Naber Bar Leederville — Restaurant in Western Australia

I recently visited Naber Bar in Leederville with my family and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. We ordered a few dishes: fried squid, chicken wings, and stone bread.

Starting with the chicken wings, I was quite disappointed. The bones were cold, and the flesh was only warm, which made it clear that the wings had been cooked earlier and simply microwaved before being served. Not what you expect for a freshly prepared dish.

The fried squid was nothing special. It felt like a store-bought frozen option, and for the price, I was expecting something a bit more impressive. The same goes for the stone bread—nothing extraordinary and certainly not worth the price.

Overall, the food was average at best and definitely felt overpriced for the quality. I left the venue feeling like I didn’t get the value I hoped for, and I likely won’t be rushing back...

My cocktail, Duckwit was amazing as i love passionfruit. Rotating cheese tonight was yum but needed more chips to go with it, so ended up having to eat a quarter of the cheese on its own. I wish they didnt scrimp on that. Shareplates were a feast on the palette, overall a great sampling of different flavours. Portions on the small side though, so we needed to order again. The cheese cake with macadamia was stunning, probably one the best cheesecakes Ive had, but maybe because its so small you have to really savour it. The other choice of dessert was a Ganache which we found a bit heavy but you’d rate it if you were a big chocolate lover. First time going for my friends birthday. One of the three apparent owners started on my best friend and ultimately caused an unprovoked fist fight, it was like he was looking for a fight. He was fighting everyone in the vicinity that got in his way and kept shouting “I’m the owner, I can kick out whoever I want”. I am disgusted that an apparent OWNER of a business can cheap shot patrons. I will be going to the police with the evidence I have against him and filing a complaint against the venue. The staff did not do anything to help, did not call police, did not try to stop the fight. There were no bouncers or any type of security, just 4 bar staff and 1 door girl. The owner does not have a problem with hitting women either, as one of my close friends who tried to calm the fight down...
