San Churro Leederville — Restaurant in Leederville

I love coming here. Everything is always delicious and amazing, but tonight one staff member really did San Churros Leederville proud. I had taken the lid off my takeaway Classic Spanish to cool it a bit (always buy takeaway, as I can never get through a whole one in one sitting! ) and had managed one sip before I knocked the whole thing over, burning my hand and pouring steaming hot chocolate all over my pants, jumper, hand bag, the wall and floor. I sat there stunned while my hand burned and my friend leapt into action, alerting one of the women who worked there, and grabbing a wad of paper towels to help me mop up. The staff member was so kind and helpful. She brought a wet cloth to cool my hand and helped us clean up, bringing me a takeaway bag to put my handbag in, and even went so far as to get me a new drink, even though the whole thing was my fault. She told me not to worry about the mess and made sure I was okay before leaving us to our drinks, even though I could see it was a busy night for the cafe. Even though I was sitting there shocked, a bit damp and covered in chocolate, my friend (who was visiting for one night from interstate) and I still had a great night thanks to that staff member. Food: 5* Booking system 1*.

Our first time here, booked online and paid $80 booking fee ($20/pp) which is fine. However, when we arrived we were seated outside on a cold, wet, windy rainy night. We asked to be seated inside but was not possible, so we were seated outdoors with an inadequate heater. This made the experience unpleasant. If not for nonrefundable deposit we would have gone elsewhere.

Management please add a note to the booking system that says "Booking on this system means you could be seated inside or outside. If you wish to be certain of a booking inside or out please call", especially if you insist on a deposit. Other restaurants specify the seating location with booking .

Raised this issue on paying the bill and was told we should have specified inside or out on the booking. Our first time visiting, so how could we know we have to specify? The pictures we saw showed only inside tables, so only repeat customers could be aware...

I just want to start by saying I visit San Churro anytime I pass one, so a couple times a month. And I order their milk hot chocolate. I visited their Leederville location today and when I got my drink it just tasted like watered down milk, something I would have expected to have at home if my kid was to make it. It was by far my worst experience from San Churros & you just expect better when they boast about their quality of chocolate & since it is $7.50 for a cup which by the way they have now reduced the size of. They are now using their medium take away cup as their "large" and have got rid of the original size. From this experience and from the money grabbing tactics used to increase their $$$$ I will not be returning to any location. Very disappointed by this brand seeing as it was a treat to have once...
