If I could give this place -10 stars I would!! 😡
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! About a month ago I came in on a weekday with 2 friends at 6pm and I was told we couldn’t have a table unless we booked (even though the place is huge and it was almost empty. I asked how long the wait would be and I was told I wouldn’t have a table until about 8:30pm!!! Really? I said “but you have so many tables” and she said unfortunately they are all booked out. Fair enough I didn’t want to rule out this place and decided to give it a chance again tonight. I booked a table for 3 and was really looking forward to a nice dinner. Got there at 5:30pm (booking was for 6pm) and the EXTREMELY RUDE man at the counter was FULL OF ATTITUDE saying I didn’t have a booking as he “couldn’t find my name”. Lucky I had the confirmation email so when I showed it to him all of a sudden he “found” my booking in the system. Then he proceeded to sit us at the stool bar in front of the window where we wouldn’t even be able to sit comfortably let alone look at each other. I then said I’d prefer a normal table (again only 2 tables were occupied) and he said too bad we had to sit there. I said NO IM NOT SITTING HERE! He was that angry and stressed out he was holding his head like he was about to explode and then finally and against his will allocated us to another table. It was that obvious that the ladies sitting in one of the tables witnessed the whole thing and looked shocked too.
I won’t be bias so I have to say the food was delicious but we didn’t enjoy ourselves much after the incident. When it came to paying he asked “how was everything” and I didn’t even respond. …
It is the short skinny guy with the bowl haircut who is constantly yelling at other staff members and walking around and talking to people like he is the owner of this place.
I came to read the reviews before posting and realized many people are commenting on the extremely poor service of this place. Real owners better do something about it or else you will get a really bad...
Read moreI visited with family a month ago and it was excellent. I returned with my partner last night and couldn’t believe how bad it was – the food, the service and the lack of cleanliness.
We were seated in a corner near the window and after 15 minutes had to go to the counter to request someone take our order.
For entrée we ordered Coconut Prawns and Fresh Salmon mixed with sauce served with crispy fried wontons. The Prawns were a little dry but crispy and tasty. This turned out to be the only really edible part of our meal. I like spicy food but the Salmon was drenched with leaves and sauce so spicy I was unable to eat it.
For mains we ordered the Duck with Plum Sauce and the Soft Shell Crabs. The Duck arrived first and was literally glued into a plum sauce that had turned into toffee. We each had a mouthful, which stuck our teeth together and unable to eat any more we sent it back to the kitchen. The waitress apologised and told us “we have a new Chef tonight”. 10 minutes later it came back in a sauce which was like water. The duck was tasteless. At $29.50 a plate this was ridiculous.
The Soft Shell Crabs was an even greater disappointment. 3 small crabs arrived in a large bowl of spice vegetables. The crabs were crispy but hadn’t been drained of fat or cooking oil and were so full of this we couldn’t detect the flavour of the crabs. Again $29.50 a plate.
The wait staff didn’t change our plates or cutlery after the entrees and we had to request clean ones. After showing our disapproval and having to return food to the kitchen the service picked up considerably and the waitresses were very helpful.
We took our own wine. The corkage charged is $8/bottle and all you get is glasses. You open your own bottles and pour it yourself.
The corner we were in was shabby and the floor dirty. My earlier experience at this restaurant was so good I intended to become a regular but they have lost me forever now. Gordon Ramsay would have a...
Read moreArrived Friday at 8pm, we were seated, a minute later someone came to take the order, we ordered our food, but asked a few minutes to check the drinks menu as we hadn’t even looked at yet. We ordered scallops (were super over cooked) salmon trio (the only good dish) and salmon main (also over cooked) and pad Thai (which was ok but as it was with seafood, again, that was over cooked. Now once the first dish came out a waitress asked my partners drink and (I’m not joking) literally ran away before taking my order, we tried calling her but she just ignored to take my drink order, we kinda tried to laugh it off but ok. Until next dish came out nobody was interested to take my drink order, finally I got someone’s attention to order a glass of Chardonnay, she was very confused by the order and proceeded to ask if it is red or white wine. Really?! I explained her and showed her the menu to get the order. We were never offered water. 8:30 a waitress came to us saying it’s last call for drinks, we were still waiting for our mains, so I asked that once my main arrived can I not order another glass of wine, as I still had some left and I was said no I can’t. Around 8:50 another person came to drop the bill (I was still eating) with eftpos waiting there. We paid and left, staff didn’t even say goodbye. Overall that was just shocking experience, as someone in the industry I was appalled by this service. You should really educate your staff...
