If I could give this place -10 stars I would!! 😡

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! About a month ago I came in on a weekday with 2 friends at 6pm and I was told we couldn’t have a table unless we booked (even though the place is huge and it was almost empty. I asked how long the wait would be and I was told I wouldn’t have a table until about 8:30pm!!! Really? I said “but you have so many tables” and she said unfortunately they are all booked out. Fair enough I didn’t want to rule out this place and decided to give it a chance again tonight. I booked a table for 3 and was really looking forward to a nice dinner. Got there at 5:30pm (booking was for 6pm) and the EXTREMELY RUDE man at the counter was FULL OF ATTITUDE saying I didn’t have a booking as he “couldn’t find my name”. Lucky I had the confirmation email so when I showed it to him all of a sudden he “found” my booking in the system. Then he proceeded to sit us at the stool bar in front of the window where we wouldn’t even be able to sit comfortably let alone look at each other. I then said I’d prefer a normal table (again only 2 tables were occupied) and he said too bad we had to sit there. I said NO IM NOT SITTING HERE! He was that angry and stressed out he was holding his head like he was about to explode and then finally and against his will allocated us to another table. It was that obvious that the ladies sitting in one of the tables witnessed the whole thing and looked shocked too.

I won’t be bias so I have to say the food was delicious but we didn’t enjoy ourselves much after the incident. When it came to paying he asked “how was everything” and I didn’t even respond. …

It is the short skinny guy with the bowl haircut who is constantly yelling at other staff members and walking around and talking to people like he is the owner of this place.

I came to read the reviews before posting and realized many people are commenting on the extremely poor service of this place. Real owners better do something about it or else you will get a really bad...

I visited with family a month ago and it was excellent. I returned with my partner last night and couldn’t believe how bad it was – the food, the service and the lack of cleanliness.

We were seated in a corner near the window and after 15 minutes had to go to the counter to request someone take our order.

For entrée we ordered Coconut Prawns and Fresh Salmon mixed with sauce served with crispy fried wontons. The Prawns were a little dry but crispy and tasty. This turned out to be the only really edible part of our meal. I like spicy food but the Salmon was drenched with leaves and sauce so spicy I was unable to eat it.

For mains we ordered the Duck with Plum Sauce and the Soft Shell Crabs. The Duck arrived first and was literally glued into a plum sauce that had turned into toffee. We each had a mouthful, which stuck our teeth together and unable to eat any more we sent it back to the kitchen. The waitress apologised and told us “we have a new Chef tonight”. 10 minutes later it came back in a sauce which was like water. The duck was tasteless. At $29.50 a plate this was ridiculous.

The Soft Shell Crabs was an even greater disappointment. 3 small crabs arrived in a large bowl of spice vegetables. The crabs were crispy but hadn’t been drained of fat or cooking oil and were so full of this we couldn’t detect the flavour of the crabs. Again $29.50 a plate.

The wait staff didn’t change our plates or cutlery after the entrees and we had to request clean ones. After showing our disapproval and having to return food to the kitchen the service picked up considerably and the waitresses were very helpful.

We took our own wine. The corkage charged is $8/bottle and all you get is glasses. You open your own bottles and pour it yourself.

The corner we were in was shabby and the floor dirty. My earlier experience at this restaurant was so good I intended to become a regular but they have lost me forever now. Gordon Ramsay would have a...

Arrived Friday at 8pm, we were seated, a minute later someone came to take the order, we ordered our food, but asked a few minutes to check the drinks menu as we hadn’t even looked at yet. We ordered scallops (were super over cooked) salmon trio (the only good dish) and salmon main (also over cooked) and pad Thai (which was ok but as it was with seafood, again, that was over cooked. Now once the first dish came out a waitress asked my partners drink and (I’m not joking) literally ran away before taking my order, we tried calling her but she just ignored to take my drink order, we kinda tried to laugh it off but ok. Until next dish came out nobody was interested to take my drink order, finally I got someone’s attention to order a glass of Chardonnay, she was very confused by the order and proceeded to ask if it is red or white wine. Really?! I explained her and showed her the menu to get the order. We were never offered water. 8:30 a waitress came to us saying it’s last call for drinks, we were still waiting for our mains, so I asked that once my main arrived can I not order another glass of wine, as I still had some left and I was said no I can’t. Around 8:50 another person came to drop the bill (I was still eating) with eftpos waiting there. We paid and left, staff didn’t even say goodbye. Overall that was just shocking experience, as someone in the industry I was appalled by this service. You should really educate your staff...

Arrived at the restaurant with high expectations, but the experience got off to a rocky start. Despite having a reservation for 6 pm, the first question posed to us was if we could finish by 7:30 pm. This initial inquiry about our departure time did not feel very welcoming, especially considering we had booked ahead of time. We proceeded to order cocktails, including the signature Porcelain cocktail along with the Southern and Central concoctions. For starters, we indulged in the delectable Beetle Prawn dish, followed by Duck Noodles and Beef Basil Chilli Stir Fry with steamed rice. While the food was served promptly, there was a delay with the cocktails. The Southern and Central cocktails arrived after the food arrived and the Porcelain cocktail was even further delayed, reaching us halfway through our dining experience. The Porcelain cocktail stood out for its delicious flavors and impressive presentation, providing a unique dining experience. However, the cocktail featuring longan (possibly the Central cocktail) missed the mark with its unbalanced taste. The Strawberry cocktail was a decent offering. The Beetle Prawn and Duck Noodles were highlights of the meal, while the Beef Basil dish fell short of expectations. Although the restaurant boasted a great ambience, the service left us feeling rushed, detracting from the opportunity to fully enjoy and savour our meal with a sense of relaxation and hospitality.

3.5 to 4 stars. Arrived and seated very quickly when we arrived. The ordering process was taken by a super friendly staff (Dani). Our Petite Satay Chicken arrived at the table literally within minutes after ordering, but the rest took a quite a while. The 3 flavoured barramundi, five spiced duck and satay chicken were delicious, the rest just so so. It was disappointing that the skin of crispy pork belly was so hard instead of crispy, had to discard the skin. Nothing special about the fried rice with chicken nor pad thai king prawns, the flavour were a bit too light. Heavenly spare ribs were a bit over cooked making it a bit hard but the flavour was tasty. Thai milk tea was divine, strong in tea flavour but a bit more milky would have been perfect. One of the main let down was the lighting, it was too dark to see clearly especially for people with any eyesight issues or if you have young children to feed, it was such a struggle for the eyes even without any eyesight issues.

I had been here a few years ago while on holiday and remember the food being good. We decided to go back and we were not disappointed. Everything we ordered was delicious and had plenty of flavours as you would expect Thai food to have. The duck spring rolls and the crab papaya salad were particular favourites. The cocktail menu is very gourmet and I wasn’t too sure what to expect but the cocktail perfectly presented and packed a punch. The wait staff are very good, I was impressed with the service and knowledgeable of the menu. We sat at the front of the restaurant which I personally found to be a bit dark and the pages of the menu are black so made for difficult reading. Something to bear in mind if taking older people. The thing that really let this place down like so many other places is the toilets. They are awful and need a good clean with some TCL to get them to an acceptable standard. However, I do recommend this place and will go again.
