I visited this place for the first time as a friend I was meeting for lunch suggested this place. The food was average, nothing to rave about. Halfway through eating I started choking so requested for a glass of water. The lady behind the counter refused and said they only offer bottled water on sale. I could clearly see taps in the kitchen and glasses on the counter and queried what the problem was. She checked with the owner and came back with a response of - sorry but we are not allowed to provide water. As far as i am aware, this is a legal requirement for restaurants to provide their customers with water. I have not experienced this at any other restaurant. Their refusal to do so can only mean they are interested in making more profits for their business while ignoring Australian requirements. I find this sort of behaviour both shameful & reprehensible. I will be taking this matter further. I will definitely not be going back to this restaurant ever and neither would I recommend this place to anyone else. An extremely poor experience that could so easily have...
Read moreCame to buy sweets on Wednesday after shopping at spud shed, not busy at all, only 2 tables occupied. So I was with shopping trolley & as I entered and approached the display cabinet started looking at the sweet. Not even 10seconds gone a lovely lady behind counter said no trolleys inside! My first reaction was may be I didn’t hear her right so asked again…? She said Trolleys are not allowed inside (in polite manners)! I was surprised… really..? I asked the lady do you want me to leave my shopping trolly full of stuff outside, come inside, so that anyone can steel my stuff…? She said yes with a smile! To which I replied in that case I ll go buy sweets elsewhere & I walked out.
Spoke to one of my friend next day about it and he said the Punjabi kitchen owners care about the floor in the shop not the costumer!
Funny part I heard from my friend that apparently this place has well known joke in the Indian community, Floor is more important than the customer these days” like it’s not floor it’s Gold!
Dear Punjabi Kitchen Owners please Wake up before...
Read moreI ordered some Indian chaat stuff takeaway on Saturday. They took so long to bring my order out despite the fact they’re all prepped in advance. Meanwhile while waiting we decided to have a cup of chai. After a long wait a very shy girl (no hospitality experience whatsoever) emerged with 2 cups of chai holding the cups around the rim of cup and not by handle! It was the most horrible cha I had ever had so far. I make a better cuppa at home! So please note this business is operated by amateurs. All staff are family including a very young primary school lad! The takeaways were okay to taste and quantity was meagre. So good luck to whoever is interested to visit. I’m not going here anymore, unless some positive changes are...
