Dropped my car off for a wash upstairs and thought I’d treat myself to a morning tea at the Innaloo Coffee Club this morning. Ordered a carrot cake and my usual brew - medium decaf flat white, 1/2 strength, lactose free in a take away cup but to dine in. Waited a fair while as they were busy. The carrot cake was absolutely delicious but sadly the coffee was waaayyyy too strong 🥲🥲. I got up to thank the young Asian lady on till and said the cake was delicious but sadly my coffee was too strong for 1/2 strength. She looked very surprised and said “You did not say 1/2 strength”. I should know what my usual brew is, been drinking it for a long time but to turn around in a condescending tone and accuse me of not asking for 1/2 strength? Perhaps these young ladies need to be trained to listen firstly and then repeat the order like many other cafes do to make sure they have the order correct. Telling us “the food isn’t gross, we sell lots” and “we are busy” being busy shouldn’t be an excuse for poor quality food. You are a business your food quality should not waver. And if someone doesn’t like your food you can’t tell them that they do.
Eggs were rubber, toast was frozen cold and stale, burger buns were solid brick and teeth breaking worthy.
By the way love. Your Ally tags hanging out of your jumper like you just bought it And it seems like your staff are too miserable to notice or too scared to talk to you.
Being a manager isn’t hard....
