The restaurant my best friend and I went to was called P&P Hunan Chinese Restaurant. It is located on the corner of Britain and Laurel Ave in San Carlos, California. P&P Hunan have opened up for about two and a half years the restaurant has already become a very popular place to eat in San Carlos. The word “Hunan” comes from a name of a provenience in Southeast China which people live in. Hunan food is known for making their food very spicy. This restaurant by itself is the size of an average ten by twelve room that would be in your home, but the important thing about this place is that the food is excellent not the way the place looks. You can’t judge anything without trying it.

My friend and I went to this restaurant for lunch on a Wednesday September 30, 1998 and it was a very memorable experience. We walked in and the waitress gave us a table and we sat down where she wanted us to sit. The place was quite small like I mentioned before so there was not many options to choose your seats. On the table there were beautiful flowers in a small vase, there was also salt and pepper on the sides of the flowery vase. The waitress came to take our order. I ordered my usual dish Kung Pou Chicken with steamed rice which had to be extra spicy hot and my friend had ordered Black Bean Sauce Chicken he also liked it very spicy. We also had two cokes. I noticed that the waitress did...

I orderd the garlic king prawn fried rice and sweet and sour pork fried rice. garlic prawn doesn't taste garlic prawn it's just with the corn flour and mixed it with the vege. sweet and sour pork is ok. the fried rice is the worse things i ever had. the rice were so hard to chew and oily. the girl from the receptions was pretty annoyed. first they got the wrong order and price. then the other girl is coming and asked if i want to changed it. then she charged me 14$ more then she came back and give me 5$ back because she charged the wrong price. I mean i know they are busy. I used to worked over busy restaurant before. everyone made a mistake but not 3 times in a role. will never go back there when i visit to...

Dinner for 2, we had 6 of the smallest spring rolls I have ever seen and 4 pieces of battered squid both with sweet and sour sauce. We didn’t like either as they had a very strange oily taste. Not sure if the oil was burnt or simply in need of changing.

Main course was satay beef, ginger chicken and special fried rice. Both meat dishes had broccoli in which hadn’t been washed properly and full of gritty sand. Both were quite bland in taste but the sandy crunch was what put us off. Not sure what was special about the fried rice though, perhaps the 4 tiny frozen prawns placed on top of the rice.

At $82 dinner certainly wasn’t value for money. We wouldn’t...

Welcoming: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️ Customer service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food: ⭐️ Beverage: ⭐️⭐️ Value for Money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ease of parking: ⭐️⭐️ Revisit: ⭐️ Have been eating the local food and craving for some Chinese food. Found one nearby and it was named after Hong Kong famous “Wong Kong” however, it doesn’t sell nothing about Hong Kong Food. We have ordered Fried Meehon, fried rice, sour palm meat, and also mix vege, however, all the vegetables, meat and etc are all reused in different meals, quite disappointed.
