The food is way too expensive for the quality of the food. The poor quality of ingredients is obviously a sheer reflection of cost cutting with poor quality fatty pieces of steak served in the steak sandwich. The desert crepes tasted precooked from a week earlier and reheated in the microwave evidenced by its soggy texture. The restaurant relies solely on its prime location, and had it not been located by the ocean it would have absolutely nothing going on for it.After having coffee 4 times at Aqua it is a hit and miss, but mostly a miss and what appalled me was there technique of scooping up excessive froth from the badly steamed milk and dumping it into a dodgy little bathroom sink located behind the counter. Tacky and disgusting. The place is definitely under staffed with tables being left dirty for as long as 1 hour and not to mention we had to wait 20 minutes before our order was taken. The extensive time taken for food preparation did not justify such poor standards of food presentation and taste also.

It is a definite shame that an optimum location is being wasted on a massively disappointing establishment which lacks in alll avenues that is important in hospitality. Aesthetics, good food, good coffee and...

Came here on the 31st of December my partner took his son for breakfast

The service was like watching paint dry slow and unresponsive.

Bacon came out like concrete was tough and inedible Asked for Vegemite on Turkish came out with butter no Vegemite when asked for Vegemite again nothing arrived

When I asked for fresh bacon and Vegemite it was like they did not care about the problem.

Hash browns were over cooked and the mushrooms were burnt and tasteless

The chef should be sacked as the breakfast was tasteless and terrible

I would suggest anyone thinking of eating they’re to reconsider as the staff are useless and don’t even try and make things right.

Such a great location to enjoy a meal hopefully someone else will take it over and make it thrive as the people that own it now should not be in business.

If a zero star could be awarded I would do so...

People need to appreciate this place for what it is and the food quality. It doesn't have the decor, ambience, or swift service, of The Lagoon, Lucia's or Harbourfront. It also doesn't have their prices either. What it has is great friendly staff, a great outlook over the Beach by day and a large generous meal, beautifully cooked with carefully selected fresh ingredients, at a very reasonable price. It's also licensed with a good selection of beverages. I went there for the first time last night. $28.90 for a large beautifully cooked piece of Salmon with 4 good sized chat potatoes, fresh broccolini, fresh sugar snaps and fresh wilted basil leaves. The meal was very generous and every element was fresh and beautifully cooked. I will definitely be going back...
