Bar Cabrón — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

Was excited to try this place, the menu wasn't the best for my taste since I have been a vegetarian my whole life but have started eating seafood, I ordered the king fish cerviche tostada but they brought out the pigs head tostada instead, not realising I ate it, only finding out when they brought out the king fish tostada that I had previously eaten pigs head! Which needless to say I was kinda grossed out on just to read it in the menu let alone eat, I then wanted to eat some food that I did order to get over what I had eaten and all the dishes were so small. We did order the eggplant as a main and I was certain that would be a decent size at $34, which then came out on a starter plate being a single slice of eggplant with a bit of sauce. Disappointment.

Christmas Party for 30+ Pax Food mainly consisted of Cornchips, for a mexican inspired menu this was disappointing. Up to 45minute wait on drinks, which was a Watermelon Margarita and a Coca cola. The margarita came, but not the coke and we were informed the machine had died. When questioned does the machine supply the coca cola? the response was no, and the cola came 5 minutes later. Rushed on the 2nd last item on the menu, desert was forgotten and not as per menu. Need a better solution for waiting tables/recording requests. Needs better planning for staff rostering, Kudos to the Chef, being 1 in the kitchen majority...

Sadly I did not have a good experience at Cabron, with $90 per person the delivery of service was under par. The food was basically corn chips with something, except I steak shared between 2 people and then telling us to leave before they provided desert which they rushed and was meringue on a corn chip… they ran out of beer and drinks forgot to bring the drinks that were ordered. The place was way too hot, no air flow and over all a disappointing experience.

They were accomodating to my pregnant wife’s dietary requirements and the steak they cooked was perfect however, the negative out weighs...
