Night Parrot Wine Bar — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

Turned up at 9pm to have a drink with 3 friends, was sat down and told last drinks straight away. Ordered a bottle of wine, not available...ordered another bottle, she was sure they didn't have that either actually she was sure they only had the wines by the glass available 🤔 Then she turned the music off! Ok we get the hint so we walked out. We weren't the only people in the venue. I get it's a quiet night and you want to sign off but if you're closing then say that in the first instance before we sat down. We would've drank a bottle and left before 10pm. Next...

The food was decent, however the "bbq prawns" in the prawn and mango salad were pre cooked and cold out if the fridge so my wife couldn't eat it due to being pregnant. Also there was no mango in the salad at all and when i enquired about this, the lady said she will get me some on the side. She came back and said the chef said its mixed in to at which point i clearly showed her there was no mango at all and all she said was sorry, I'll note that for next time without even offering an alternative or even taking it off the bill. Disappointed as previously has been a terrific experience. On this occasion we were not acknowledged when we walked in, awkwardly seated ourselves after waiting in the middle of the bar and then told to move as it was not our booking (nobody showed up for this table and multiple were free).
