We constantly give Yachties a chance hoping that the last time they were just busy or having a bad day but it’s ridiculous now. The most terrible customer service and the rudest most un enthusiastic employees. Food is always average but this time we paid $14 for a toasted sandwich for it to be completely cold on the inside. We paid for our food at 9:44am and had to remind staff twice that we were still waiting for donuts. At 10:23 we FINALLY received our donuts, 40 minutes later. If there was an apology or any communication for that matter, even if it was a busy day I would understand but there was a total of 5 people there and each time I went up to ask the staff were so rude and just said ‘there coming’ and turned away.

It’s so frustrating when this cafe is in a prime location and does have amazing donuts that they ruin it with the rudest staff members ever.

This never used to be the case - this place was great a few years ago but the last year at least it’s just a constant let down and you leave there in the worst mood ever.

No one should have to pay 40+ dollars for a coffee and breakfast and receive an experience as...

Sadly the experience at Yachties has gone downhill with each visit. Staff often look unhappy to be there, and customer service has noticeably declined — orders are mixed up, communication is poor, and the overall atmosphere feels disorganised.

The food quality this visit was very poor. The donuts which Yachties are renowned for were brown, dry and overcooked, tasting like they’ve been fried in old oil, they could not be eaten! The pizza sitting in the front window looked like it had been there far too long. The kitchen itself looks tired and in need of attention.

Yes, the place is always busy — but that’s no excuse for poor service and declining food standards. An urgent team reset is needed, whether it’s stronger management, better training, or replacing staff who don’t want to be there.

Very disappointing for a venue that used to be...

Normally we aren't that bothered by the rude staff but today was just next level. They were very busy, but there didn't seem to be any order in which the orders were going out. We were told 20min, it took 20 min for our coffee then another 20 min for our toastie and acai bowl. Our friend ordered a coffee, 3 donunts and acai bowl, got her coffee when we got ours, an hour past and she still hadn't received her acai bowl and donuts, her name was called and she was just handed cash back no explanation, after asking they said the acai machine was broken. No apology. My partner got her acai bowl and we ordered at the same time. People who ordered after us were getting their food while we were still waiting for ours. When I went up to ask politely I was just met with arrogance...

Everyone raves about the donuts from here, so I had to check them out. Firstly for a friday afternoon they only had 1 staff member on and there was roughly about 10 people wanting to get food and drinks. The donuts were reasonable priced, I got a dozen for $18, they were slightly over cooked which I normally don't mind, it means they are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. The ones that I had were alittle too dry. Big overall not too bad. Ill try them again, sometime soon.

Update: more seating, new menu items and the Acai bowl is delicious well done Yatchies...The best donuts in Wollongong, just as good as the famous Berry donut van. Also had the yoghurt granola with fresh fruit, very yummy and coffee is really good too. Location at Wollongong harbour is a great place to sit on a beautiful day. Staff are lovely, fast service, these guys are on the ball.

They use to be really good here. Now the donuts are rushed, they aren't left to drain off the oil before being caked in sugar. Really gone down the drain fast, along with the coffee. Once upon a time, I would have said they had one of the best coffee's in wollongong. It's a shame.
