Throughout my Travels within Australia, I can honestly say I have never been so poorly treated by your rude service team. Our booking was made online as requested & in the comment section, we requested a table in a quiet area. The booking was confirmed. My group arrived & on arrival, we waited at the door as requested to be seated, to be confronted with the most rudest female, I have ever encountered . She asked if we had a booking & we said yes & confirmed our name on the booking.. Once the booking was acknowledged, she decided to advise us that our message was received regarding a quiet area, but due to Races being on, we would to take the table they offered, however if it wasnt suitable, they would try to move us.. She proceeded to direct us to the table, directly adjacent to the room, holding the racing crowd. We sat down, at the designated table, after walking past numerous tables that were empty & non reserved and away from the "noisy racing patrons".. She proceeded to walk off & as we sat there for a few minutes, the noise coming from the racing patrons, was so loud, that we could not even hear our selves speak.. At no time, did she come back to us, to see if we would like to change spots, nor did she concern herself with asking why we may of asked for a quiet area. (Even though my grandson had headphones on - due to noise restriction) We tried to get her attentiion, and it was clear she was not coming back to our table. Finally a young lass came over to ask if we wanted a drink, & we said no thank you, we will be leaving.. From the moment we walked in, to the minute we left, it was very clear, that this service provider, clearly put us in the most noisiest part of the establishment.. Absolutely disgusting customer service.. I will not be recommend this establishment to anyone, however will be recommending The Vic Hotel in Gisbourne as they were very accommodating & engaging - their customer service was over and above, and when we also asked for a quiet area in the establishment, they identifed with my grandson - saw his headphones on his head & and without asking or acknowledging the health issue, put us in a quieter section of their hotel.. Providing Good Customer Service does not cost you a thing, but can go along way in satisfyimg customers & repeat business - very similar to kindness..all of which The Vic Hotel in Woodend is lacking on...

We visited this restaurant today the on 3rd of July at around 2pm during a day trip to Woodend with our young family. We were excited to explore the charm of this small sweet town after hearing such great things from our friends who live in woodend —but sadly, this restaurant left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed.
We stood at the entrance for about 10 minutes, clearly visible and waiting to be acknowledged. A gentleman behind the bar, directly facing us, looked over multiple times but made no effort to engage or assist us. A younger male staff member also walked past us several times without even acknowledging us.
What made this experience particularly disheartening was the fact that, as an Asian family visiting a small regional town, we couldn’t help but wonder if our presence was being deliberately overlooked. Whether it was a lack of hospitality or something more uncomfortable, we were left feeling excluded and invisible.
After waiting in vain, we quietly left—never spoken to or acknowledged even once. This is not the kind of memory we hoped to take home from what was meant to be a pleasant family outing.
Sadly, this experience has tainted our impression of the restaurant and made us hesitant to return to what should have been a welcoming and inclusive place.

We met up with friends here and upon sitting on a table, we had 4 different wait stuff abusing us to order drinks in less than 10 minutes. We were catching up after a long time and we felt like we were rushed to order drinks and food as soon as we sat down without having any chance to even look at the menu. Eventually we said we would let them know when we were ready but the last wait member warned /? threatened us to order it now otherwise kitchen would get busy and there would be a wait time. What a joke! Like beginning of our experience was so nice food has finally arrived!! Another joke :) Salad with 80% onion ratio compare to other ingredients in it. Tasteless and expensive.
