McDonald's — Restaurant in Woree

Used to be the best McDonald's in Cairns but the staff currently have no work etiquette and are often standing around talking and laughing with each other instead of working. I've seen a staff member eating fries behind the counter. The tables are often left uncleaned and there are always flies/fruit flies at the back tables near the toilets. The self serve is often unusable as it asks you to take a numbered disc from the side but they keep them on the counter instead.

I saw my son's Happy Meal sitting behind the counter for a good five minutes (no exaggeration) while staff were talking about their weekends instead of grabbing a bottle of apple juice from the fridge to finish the order? The fries then ended up being cold and tasteless. However, I'll still continue to go as it's cheap and fast and it's McDonald's.

If you're an old grump like me and don't like the sound of loud teenagers, time your trip so you don't catch the school rush as the highschool kids love to hangout here while they wait for their busses.

Can in store (fingers crossed no one will stuff my order like always on DoorDash) boy was I wrong. It’s currently 7:37pm, nearly every table has rubbish on it, floors are disgusting and the staff are rude.

The was missing ingredients in my burger and when I told them about it, the staff member went back to the one who made it and both of them are killing themselves laughing. Burger box open, whatever spit and germs flying onto it. Then I watched them pile on the lettuce (still laughing) onto that burger. I called out to have a new one made and all I got was eye roll.

I spoke with the manager and explained how my orders is constantly wrong and how the other staff members were behaving when I showed them the burger. All she said with an uninterested tone was “I’ll talk to my staff”.

All the staff were loud and disrespectful. You could hear them before even the front doors opening. Wish there was a manager who actually cared about this place and...

yeah man didn’t love it hey ordered some nuggets asked for sauce and they don’t put it in as well as buggering around at the window because they couldn’t even figure out what we’d ordered in the first place so it wasn’t looking good ya get me then we get home only to discover the juicy nugs have to go without a saucy coating so I’m understandably mad and burst into tears because I care vehemently about the nugs I decide to make a complaint. I call up and a youngin answers and I explain my situation only to get hung up on 🤷🏻‍♀️ thought it was a bit funky but on I went with my evening enjoying my slightly dry nugs 😷 alas I get a return phone call from none other than this youngin from maccas accusing me of prank calling and threatening me with police? kindly explained I wasnt prank calling and I’m genuinely unhappy with the service and she decides to be a rude mole so thank you Woree maccas and youngin I really hope you enjoy your talking...
