S&AJ Café and Restaurant — Restaurant in Young

I'm a bit annoyed. I came here Sunday with my husband and had a coffee, muffin, Bacon and egg roll and tea. Everything was beautiful. Frofy cappuccino, fresh muffin, fresh roll and hot tea.

I came this morning for take away coffees and muffins before we leave back for Sydney.

The man taking my order was polite, but I don't think he was listening, or was distracted. I ordered a small oat cap with 1 sugar, a small oat cap with no sugar and a small half strength cap as well as 2 muffins. I was charged for these (only 1 muffin) which I then happily paid for second one.

When I recieved my coffees, there was an oat cap with 3 sugars, a cap with 1 sugar and a medium latte?

They corrected the order however there was no love in the coffees. The pictured coffee was meant to be a cap and obviously has no froth. I could tell it would be the case before I left because the woman frothing the coffee just left the jug sitting under the wand without introducing any air to the milk. Reluctant to complain again I took the coffes but I'm very dissatisfied.

We've been here many times the previous year and have not been disappointed. This time I am very disappointed. If I wanted a quick rushed coffee, I would have just gone to mcdonalds. Very...

Came here for a quick catchup with friends for breakfast, not originally planning on coming to S&AJ but I was pleasantly surprised. We were greeted immediately at the door with a smile and were given a great, quiet, window seat. Immediately we were tended to by staff, it felt like we were the only ones there even though there was a shop full of people. We ordered drinks that came within 5 minutes and were then able to order our meals. Looking at the menu I realised that some of the meals were a bit pricey but the money was honestly worth it. Our meals came in under 15 minutes, keeping in mind there were people flowing in through the doors, the food looked and tasted awesome. We were then given plenty of time to eat and chat. When our meals were all finished (with me trying to stop myself from licking my plate), our empty plates were taken away and we were given more time to talk. The place was empty the young girl at front told us to choose a seat wherever we liked that was the last we seen of her. Menus were already on the table we waited for someone to and take our order but no one came so off to the counter we went to place our order. Our drinks were brought to our table no mention of a glass, that was also the last we seen of that person, who for the rest of the night stayed chatting to her friends in the corner. The kitchen prepared our meal and rang the bell several times for the front of house to collect our meal and bring it to our table on the third ring she signalled for them to take it out themselves, which they did and they also asked us if we would like some plates to share our meal which they proceeded to do. Thanks to the kitchen for doing what the front of house could not be bother to do. Not once did she approach us to ask how things were going.
