We celebrated Valentines day here and this has got to be the worst indian restaurant we’ve been. I understand that because of the day, it would be busy. However, we had a reservation which CLEARLY DOES NOT WORK FOR THEM because we did not have a table under our name! So the owner just let us sit in another couple’s table. Yes, we were in one table seated together. It was so bad and so chaotic that we waited for 1 hour before the owner came to us and asked for our order. He did not bring any paper to write down our order and just tried to memorize it. But then, he came again to us in another 10 mins to ask for our order. Like what? So we told him we already gave our orders to him.
Later on, another waiter asked us what do we want to order. This is what is crazy — all along the owner NEVER punched in our orders so he wasted our time waiting for nothing!
We were so hungry at this point and wanted to just leave. But when I asked for the food, they said they are already preparing it. So we just stayed and waited. I told my husband that the food better be good after all this agony.
The food came and it was so bad. I thought it would be worth it to wait but it was such a bad decision.
Long story short, the rice was old and they just reheated it. The chicken tikka masala was really bland. My husband did not like his butter chicken as well - also very bland. And even the mango lassi was off cause the drink has their yogurt sticking together (like imagine drinking with little jello). The only good thing was the garlic naan atleast.
I’m sorry but to tell you the truth, this was the WORST Indian restaurant we’ve been. If only they told us at first that they are too full, then we would have appreciated that and would not mind looking for another restaurant. Our evening was ruined. Too understaffed and...
Read moreWhat a tragic dinner we had at this place.
Food was 3/5 Service was just pathetic - may be we were Indian so they were serving us poorly or it’s their normal service - I don’t know. When we ask for salt they gave us the packet of salt. I repeat - they gave us the packet of salt which we buy from supermarket. :( Never have I ever seen this kind of thing in any restaurant. We were not even finished eating and the server/owner started collecting our plates. One of us was still eating and there was a food in the bowl and the server tried to take it and we had to stop him. Owner and staff had some kind of issues internally so they were shouting at each other which ruined all of our mood of having calm dinner. We chose to dine inside the restaurant and it was such a suffocating atmosphere, I can’t explain. It’s like we were sitting in a Keller (basement) and the main thing is that there was an Airconditioning but they didn’t even bother to turn it on. Interior was toooo bright and shiny but this was least of our concern considering the above issues we had. MOST IMPORTANT- Toilets are near the kitchen and toilets were so so so dirty that someone will think twice before using them. Super unhygienic. One urinal was leaking so they put a bucket below it :(
I think the owner either doesn’t know how to run the restaurant or they were just biased to us because we...
Read moreI am Super excited to find this restaurant in Graz which I must say the "Authentic Indian Taste" !
They have awesome food Varity, not over expensive, excellent taste, super nice traditional king style seating ambience & most important - "Nice People". You will feel that they really want to eat & enjoy with their warm gestures.
I still have regret to find this place at the end of my stay in Graz as I have been to other places in Graz as well which claim they are Indian restaurant but actually not ! To be honest, other restaurant are simply exploiting the Indian dishes by modifying them in a crazy manner & taking unnecessary advantages of typical Hindi Names !
They offer lunch Buffet Monday to Friday until 02:00pm with 8.5 euros only. Garlic Naan is the must try ! Attention Non-Austrian people, Rice serving along with curry is not by default in Austria in general which is common in other part of Europe. Rice & Naan needs to be...
