August 2025: Returned to Graz with my family to have them experience the food here as well. Kids had the house burger, which was a huge and tasty hamburger with fries for just 11 euro. We took the lunch meal of the day for just 9,90 euro which today (a Friday) meant all you can eat spaghetti Bolognese, crispy fried fish, baked potatoes, rice, onion soup and a salad buffet. All as much as you wanted. Super good deal. And tasty. Big glass of cold refreshing water costs just 70 eurocents. Friendly staff. Just disguisting that sitting outside in the terrace was impossible due to the cigarette smoke of others. We moved inside. Floor in the restaurant was sticky and toilets really could use repairs.
2023: Found this place while searching for large schnitzels. Prices are amazingly low here although the prices shown on the menu outside are sightly higher than they are on the menu you get at your table. Not sure which of the two I ended up paying. In either case they're low. I ordered the schnitzel first. Really nice size. Crispy and quite okay taste. As I was very hungry and mostly curious I ordered the cordon blue next. Also of large size but not really my kind of cordon blue. They apparently have a lot of local twists to the cordon blue. This one was with green peppers, white onions and a bit sour tasting cheese. Not really my kind of taste. Beer was good, staff friendly. American Express was supposed to work but didn't. A normal person would definitely have enough with one...

Despite being visually unappealing, WC straight out of 70s or 80s, we were welcomed by what seemed random people sitting at the bar drinking beer. Fun experience :)
Garden was nice especially during hot day, yet place was not clean - seats were dirty, padding had some bird poop on it, table was sticky. Not reassuring.
Food though did make up for it - huge portions, very satiating. Be careful not to order all at once might need to leave some on the plate / ask for a doggy bag.
Staff spoke English yet were not very "excited / friendly" at first.
Overall great...
Read moreExcellent grilled pork, beef and chicken. Salads are good. Veggie options are hit and miss but this is really a meat-lover's paradise. Meat usually comes with excellent grilled vegetables and potatoes (on a bad day a little under cooked but still edible). The selection of beers is large by Austrian standards, but basically all just lager. When the weather allows, you can eat under a large grape vine pergola....
