Café O´pal — Restaurant in Vienna

Decent food overall, but the experience left a lot to be desired. The atmosphere inside is nice enough, though the view out the window is somewhat spoiled by a very unattractive taekwondo studio across the street. We had a few galettes—the mushroom and Dijon were better than the “Complète”, but none of them were particularly memorable. The flavors were bland and under-seasoned, and the whole meal had that overly “organic” feel that sometimes just ends up tasting dull.

Service was friendly, but extremely slow. It took far too long to get just a couple of galettes, which made the whole visit frustrating. While the staff were kind, the wait wasn’t worth it for what we got. I wouldn’t return. There are...

Ich halte mich, was Google-Rezensionen betrifft, ziemlich zurück. Aber das muss ich einfach loswerden… Ich habe schon unzählige Länder bereist (darunter auch Japan, Neuseeland, Australien, Emirate, nahezu 3/4 Europa, etc.), aber so etwas ist mir noch nie untergekommen.

Wir wurden um 20:36 Uhr (!!!) abgewiesen, als wir Platz nehmen wollten, um einen Espresso und einen Cappuccino zu komsumieren. (Das hatten wir auch an die Dame so kommuniziert!)

„Die letzte Runde hat schon stattgefunden, sorry“. To make easy money, ist nicht deren Geschäftskonzept, so wie es aussieht. Man braucht wahrlich keinen Baristakurs oder Hochschulstudium um abschätzen zu können, wieviel Zeit es benötigt, einen Espresso und einen Cappuccino über eine Siebträgermaschine mit 6 Ausgüssen zuzubereiten. Wir hätten sofort Bar bezahlt. Sorry, aber dann müssen die Öffnungszeiten nochmals angepasst werden oder ein zusätzliches Schild mit dem Verweis der „letzten Runde“ eingeführt werden.

Das ist schon fast unternehmensschädigend, was Sie da vollzogen hat. Nach dem Motto „ich will jetzt nach Hause & Feierabend machen. Sorry, but you have only one job! Make coffee, cold drinks, and ensure that people have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Achja, und abkassieren nicht vergessen. Und wenn Sie Glück haben, erhalten Sie sogar Trinkgeld. (Aber pssst, nicht weitersagen! Ist ein Geheimtipp!)

Und die Öffnungszeiten sollten auch angepasst werden….23:00 Uhr Abends unter der Woche sind ohnehin nicht korrekt. Ein Stern ist...

Visited here after doing some research online and glad we took the time to visit! Set in a quieter part of the city, the cafe was lovely and quaint. The staff were super friendly, lovely and it felt like they were genuinely checking as to whether we were enjoying the food...which we were!
