My recent visit to Centimeter, the premier destination for authentic Austrian cuisine, was nothing short of spectacular. The culinary journey began with their unparalleled soup served in a freshly baked bread bowl. The rich, flavorful broth complemented the crusty, warm bread perfectly, creating a comforting and indulgent start to the meal. The excellence continued with their schnitzels, both pork and chicken are excellent. Each cutlet was expertly breaded and fried to a golden perfection, maintaining a tender and juicy interior. The flavors were robust and satisfying, making it difficult to choose a favorite between the two. Centimeter's beer selection is another highlight. Each brew was crisp, refreshing, and perfectly paired with the rich dishes. It was evident that the selection was curated with great care, adding another layer of authenticity to the dining experience. Dessert was an absolute delight, with the strudel standing out as a must-try. The pastry was flaky and light, with a sweet, spiced filling that was utterly irresistible. It was the perfect conclusion to the meal, leaving us licking our fingers and craving more. To round off this exceptional experience, the coffee at Centimeter was superb. Rich, aromatic, and expertly brewed, it was the perfect accompaniment to our dessert. What truly elevated our visit was the impeccable service. The staff were incredibly polite, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our meal was perfect. Their warmth and professionalism added to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend Centimeter to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Every dish was a testament to their commitment to quality and authenticity, and the outstanding service made our visit truly memorable. Don't miss the chance to indulge in their extraordinary offerings—you won't be disappointed!

I visited this place with my friend who has been here several times and enjoys it quite a lot. I have had some Austrian food but this is my first time at a sit down restaurant since moving to Vienna. The server was quite kind and his English was perfect, he was from Serbia. He took our orders quickly and the food came super fast, like within 10 minutes of ordering. I guess there were only two servers though and it was a bit busy on the inside of the restaurant. When it came time to pay we flagged down the other server and he said okay, but then another couple flagged him down and he immediately brought their check but never came to us. We had to wait for our server, which was fine. I hope the tips aren’t split because of this. The food was good, nothing crazy to rave about. The schnitzel didn’t have any flavor or seasoning, but I know this is common so I just enjoy the quality of the pork. The goulash was very warm and hearty, and had some nice flavors that remind me of Hungary. I ordered a mixed salad on the side which was also very nice and refreshing, it had pickled cabbage, cucumber and some boiled potatoes. The only dish I didn’t care for was the three cheese bread. I was hoping it might be like a garlic bread, but instead it was like dark rye bread which was spread with a berry jam then topped with cheese. The flavors did pair together, it just wasn’t my preference. All in all the restaurant was nice but I’m sure you might find some even more authentic Viennese/Austrian food in a smaller more home-style cafe.

Had a wonderful meal earlier at another branch, therefore I came back to this branch to try their other dishes. Had such a horrible dinner at this place. Service was terrible. Firstly, I waited 5-10 min for the menu to be served and another 10min after getting the menu to order. Next, I was told that tap water is not served, only still or sparkling water and that he would only serve tap water if I tipped at the cashier. He judged me for only ordering a soup dish (but i was alone and not capable of ordering more). After finishing my meal, I waited for quite awhile again and asked for the bill. Waiter told me to wait so i waited once again. Restaurant was not busy at all, was totally not short staffed, waiters were chatting at the bar, doing their own things, etc. The waiter who asked me to wait even asked other table if everything was alright, proving that he is definitely capable of settling my bill. Lastly, I had to walk up to the bar after 15 min, where the waiters are chatting to ask for the bill so I would not waste my time further. Food wise, I had garlic soup with bread. Extremely filling for a single pax, suitable for sharing. Taste was good for the first few mouth but got really salty after awhile.

I came across this while wandering around the city center and I checked the ratings online just to make sure and they had good rating. But still it blown me away with the food quality and quantity. I really didn’t believe the reviews abt the huge quantity untill my food arrived. It was humongous big and truly delicious. We took beef ribs and Turkey burger. The beef ribs were huge stacked over fried potatoes with salad. I struggled to finish just the ribs which were little hard to cut with knife though but why are good hands for!! Burger was also very juicy came to fried potatoes too. We also order three house fresh beers, also very good. The service was good too and fast! The menu doesn’t have prices but for that food the prices are nothing, we paid close to 40 euros for all food and beers which is nothing for that quality food. Really recommend this plaxe

I came to this place based on a recommendation posted on a blog. There was plenty of other options for me to try the famous Schnitzel in vienna, and i'm glad i chose this place. Location was easy to find, and not too crowded. Service was wonderful. I got help from 2 waiters, both were super friendly, they helped me in my choice, and even adviced me not to order more items and insisted that the portion will be more than enough. And i was indeed surprised by the size of the Schnitzel's portion. The taste was great. I loved the side potato plate! Eveything was just great. And prices are acceptable if compared with the great taste and servicd. I even got an assist from the receptionist that gave me a table by the window although i didn't have a reservation. I gave it 4 stars because the inside had a poor light. But it is a must try!

Not bad - definitely don't regret stopping in. Had the spareribs (listed as "M - 1 rib" on the English picture menu... Glad I didn't go with the large or extra large...) and one of the house beers. Ribs were decent - sauce wasn't anything to write home about. Half of the meat was fall-off-the-bone wonderful. The other half wasn't bad, but took some more work. Served on a bed of potatoes that were absolutely delicious. First server I had was so-so, but the second server that took over at some point was much friendlier. Beer wasn't all that cold, and the head on it suggested a near-zero effort pour, but once that dissipated, I was left with a rather drinkable beer. Overall, I would visit again if I was in the area and wanted something reliable. (Side note: Good Lord, the ketchup bottle was bigger than my beer.)
