The Cafe Eiles is one of these Viennese coffee shops which combines culture and splendor. Here you can enjoy the Viennese coffee house culture and the atmosphere of the many theaters nearby. This café is built in a palace of the days of the Habsburg monarchy, located very close to the famous Viennese Ring Road. The waiters are friendly and polite and give you the time for why you have come here. The food served here is delicious: I had a Viennese breakfast (they serve until 14:00) with boiled egg, two rolls, marmalade, butter and a coffee, tea or hot chocolate of your choice, I chose a Cafe Melange. This a very good deal for less than 7 euros given the splendor and atmosphere you enjoy here in the Cafe Eiles in the center of Vienna. Another time here at Café Eiles I chose a Kleiner Brauner Coffee, this typical Viennese coffee, together with the House Tart (Haustorte), a delicious chocolate tart with dark berry marmalade. I figured out, they also serve meals here such as the Sacher Würstel, these special Wiener Sausages. The seating is comfy, mostly in sofa style and serves you well for having a chat or reading the newspapers. So for whatever reason you come to the Café Eiles is a great place to have your Viennese Coffee House experience. From Vienna with Love! Dr. Dr. Immanuel Fruhmann

We came here with friends a year ago. We had the famous shinitsel with patato salad. The sauce was used on patato salad was so blanced. İt had a fresh and pleasing flavors. The ambiance of the restaurant was verry nostalgic. İ felt like i am in 70’s. The whole experiance was like time machine. All items that one used the space was very elegant and classy. The owner was very nice person and so genorous. They charged us a little bit more than they should by mistakes. The day after when we realized we had been charged more, we got back to the restaurant. The owner immediatly help us. And gave our money back. And he offered us orange juice and beatiful coffee as treat. As a tourist İ felt verry secure and safe. That made me so happy. İt was the most memorable moment of my Vienna trip. Thank you Eiles Cafe!

September 2022. We came by for a coffee and cake on Sunday afternoon after roaming about the area, and because there are not many places open at this time of week, we didn't have much choice. It's not a cheap here, but it's rather atmospheric: sitting available by the windows overlooking the street, beautifully designed, weekend newspapers were offered at the entrance and it was quite packed. In theory, a perfect Viennese cafe experience - but we were met with the worst service, and we're not picky about it... Our service standards are not high. Nevertheless, we came prepared for the infamously bad service in Vienna eateries - and we weren't shook by it in any other place while staying in the city. I don't expect the waiter to smile at me, or to come by the table when I signal for the bill in a minute - I'm patient... But our waitress has simply vanished for a good twenty minutes right when we were ready for the bill. She was nowhere to be found - which is okay, we've later learned she was on a cigarette break - but the problem was that NO OTHER WAITER WOULD SERVE US. We'd waited twenty minutes for her just to box us the leftover (delicious) cake and for us to pay the bill and leave. It's okay that she's on a break, however long, it's perfectly fine but no one else would serve us, even when they were close by and were just standing there in between serving guests - not one of the three or four servers circling about would approach us. We were so furious! I would NEVER recommend this place - the cakes are great and the place is open on Sunday, but there are other alternatives with much better service.

I’d read good reviews so decided to eat here for a late lunch/early dinner - I was not disappointed. It is a very large restaurant and I took a seat by the window. I ordered coffee, pork schnitzel and apple strudel. This was my first time eating schnitzel and it was huge! And delicious. I absolutely love cranberry sauce too. The side of potato salad was good but had a slightly overpowering taste - vinegar I think. The strudel was so so good - every bite was heaven. I normally eat fast but I took my time with the strudel and savoured every mouthful. I wasn’t rushed by the staff - I drank my coffee slowly and watched the world go by outside, long after I’d finished eating. Very reasonable prices in a lovely setting. Highly recommend.

We had both late night food and breakfast here. We arrived at 11pm due to a late flight and it was open nearby. Had soup as it was one of the only things they offered that late. It was fine, nothing I would order again. The breakfast the next morning the whole place was packed! This is a seat yourself restaurant so we sat at any table we saw open even though it had dishes on it. I highly recommend a reservation if you want a guaranteed table. The breakfast was good but took a while as the server had many tables to care for. So come with lots of time to sit and enjoy your surroundings. They have an English menu which is nice and convenient. Definitely give this place a try if you're in town! The croissant and apple strudel were great.

Had dinner here two of the three nights we had in Vienna! Wonderful staff - super friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and reasonably priced! We had the fried emmental as a starter, followed by the goulash stew and pork schnitzel as a main. The schnitzel came with a beautiful potato a lambs lettuce salad! Topped off with a generous slice of carrot cake and chocolate cake with poppyseed and cranberry. We had a large soda each and the bill came to about €40. Excellent value for money! The next night we had a starter of beef carpaccio and goulash soup, two schnitzel mains and a buffalo mozarella salad to share, again the bill came to about €40. Highly recommend!
