If you're looking for a stylish spot in Vienna with typical Austrian food, Figls is definitely worth checking out. The place is beautifully designed, with an inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for a dinner. The staff is fantastic—welcoming, friendly, and they went out of their way to set us up with a table even though they were fully booked. That kind of service always gets bonus points from me. Now, let’s talk about the food. Absolutely delicious. I had the Kalbsschnitzel for the first time, and it was a total game-changer. Perfectly cooked, beautifully breaded—just next-level. And the potato salad? Also top-notch—just the right balance of flavors, nothing too heavy. Everything came out beautifully presented, which just adds to the whole experience. Overall, we had an amazing dinner. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and some seriously good food. Will definitely be back. Verdict: Figls is a winner. Solid food, great vibe, and service that makes you feel good.

This place serves my favorite Austrian food in all of Vienna. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients, and the flavors are excellent. The prices are quite fair considering the quality. Sitting on the terrace in summer is a real treat — it’s peaceful and very enjoyable. They also have a regular visitor: a calm and friendly white cat who sometimes naps quietly on a chair without bothering anyone. A lovely little touch to an already great experience.

We took metro and bus up here after reading the fantastic reviews of Figls, and it was well worth the trip. Sitting at the bar is the way to go for couples, and the service is extraordinarily friendly. I started my dinner with a spritz, and my husband enjoyed a couple of craft beers from their small but quality selection. I tried a couple of other Austrian wines over the course of dinner, and was impressed with them. The bartender gave great recommendations and provided generous sample pours to help me decide.

My husband ordered the ribs and I had (of course) the wiener schnitzel. It has to be the hugest piece of fried meat I’ve ever seen, and I ate every bit of it. It was a nearly overwhelming quantity of food, but it was so perfectly prepared that I couldn’t resist. I made a decent dent in my potatoes, but the schnitzel was the priority. Then, after all that, our charming bartendress talked us into dessert. That, too, did not disappoint. It was a special Christmastime dessert with all kinds of tasty delights, including eggnog ice cream and a Christmas cookie pastry.

After 3 drinks apiece, two entrees, and dessert, we walked out for about 75 Euros ($90 US). While a bit expensive, the food, service, and atmosphere were more than worth it. I’ll definitely go back when I find myself in Vienna again, and hopefully enjoy the outdoor space on a lovely...

They served meat to a vegetarian!

Never go this place if you have any dietary needs. What a shameful place!

Unfortunately, I went to this place because of a team event buffet and I asked to the waiter if a dish (it was made with cabbage and some pasta) was vegetarian and he assured me it was. Then, when I started eating it I realised that it had something strange in it and when I asked what it was, the waiter kept telling me that it was vegetarian. After insisting, the waiter went to the chef who confirmed that the dish had bacon in it!!! Unbelievable!

They offered me a vegan schnitzel (I don’t like it) which I politely refused but they still brought it to me.

I felt so bad and helpless.

They ruined my day for sure! I am extremely disappointed! I hope it was possible to sue restaurants for such things because they deserve it!

Reading other 1* comments, I am not the first one to whom they did this!

Shame on you! You deserve to be closed forever and a...
