Really beautiful painting on the walls and the staff were nice. It was slightly over budget for me, and you don't get a lot of food for what you pay, which in a way is a good thing because it was terrible. I had the moussaka and it just tasted like vinegar and not much else.
But the flatbread that comes with the hummus plate was super delicious! I think they are homemade 👌🏻
EDIT in response to the reply from the owner:
€20-30 was the average amount spent per person - not the average price per dish. If you consider everybody had at least one main and one drink, some people bought desserts and extras. I spent less than most people and I spent around €18 so €20-30 per person is probably accurate especially if you include a tip in your calculation.
Re: the moussaka. The salad was in a separate bowl and I didn't mix them together. A bunch of us ordered moussaka and no one liked it. It was so acidic it gave me a stomach ache and we had to order more bread just to make it palatable. I don't know what ingredients you use to make it, but maybe spend some time figuring out what is making the moussaka taste so acidic and do something about it.
I've got nothing to gain by giving a bad review. I'm just telling you what would need to change for me to ever come back to your restaurant. You can take it or leave it, but telling me I'm wrong is not the best way to handle a bad review.
Also I took one star off "service" because this conversation is also part of the customer service experience. I mean, it's typical for Austria, but I'm not Austrian so i have higher...
Read moreI can't think of a worst experience in a restaurant then this one. We started off with an appetizer which was okay. Not great but not horrible, after a little while we received our main meal, both me and my friend took the Kaibab platter. That's when things took a wild turn. The seitan was overcooked and tasted okay at best, but the rest of the plate was sadly not edible. The rice had a weird taste that reminded me of old rice I had once had that left me with food poisoning for days, so after only a bite or two, I couldn't eat it anymore. The salad also had a weird taste, kinda like a weird sour aftertaste, humus was the same. I only ate a few bites at most of my plate and I was starving, we had walked all day and I'm not a difficult person especially not for a fully vegan place, I wish I could support, But this was terrible. I asked if I could get a partial refund for my meal since I barely even touched it. I got yelled at and called a liar for saying the food wasn't great. This was no way of treating a customer and honestly no way to treat someone in general. Worst experience ever. Pls do not go there if you do not want to end up with food poisoning, this place is a health hazard and at a minimum a terrible tasting restaurant with very rude staff. I've never left a bad review in my life but I had to because of how terrible this place was. 0/10

Read moreThe food was terrible, I got the kebab bowl and the rice tasted like old sweat, the salad and hummus tasted super sour for some reason, the seitan was fine but a bit burnt but still it was the only thing on the plate I was able to eat. My friend told me he got food poisoning from rice before and it always tasted like that when it happened. When we told the owner that it didn’t taste good and we couldn’t finish it he started screaming at us and calling us liars because for him his food is Michelin level and then made us pay full price for a meal we didn’t eat. When we told the waitress about all this and we said that they are lucky we are still paying after that and didn’t run off she said oh yes that happens in America like it’s our fault because we’re not local and she said that the chef was just passionate. It’s not called passion when you insult your customers anytime time you get criticism. Avoid this place at all cost, this place would make an amazing episode on the show...
