Okay food. The Zwiebelrostbraten was really nice, but nothing else was that great. The wine was good. OK Beer. The waiter was really unpleasant and we couldn't get any service. When we managed to get him to look at us, it was because we were near the kitchen door and he was coming with a huge pile of dishes. Now, admittedly, I wouldn't expect him to come to the table immediately, but I just wanted him to know that he should come visit out table within the next few minutes since we were all sitting with dirty plates and empty glasses for more than a half hour. Anyway, rather than just nod and say "Augenblick, bitte!" or anything reasonable, he stopped in his tracks, turned to us, and said "you never flag down a waiter with a full tray!" and the proceeded to lecture us. When we told him we were simply trying to get a little bit of attention from him when he was on his way back, he argued with us. Basically, he is a terrible waiter and a terrible person. Read moreprobably the most unfriendly staff you could find in a Viennese restaurant. only go there if you really want to have a bad day, waiters are treating guests with a horrible attitude. I can't believe the reviews of people calling the waiters friendly. Probably some of them only work on particular week days. Either way it is not worth the risk to ever go back to that place. The staff seems to believe their restaurant is one of the best places in town and only if they like your face they treat you well... Don't even dare going there without a table reservation unless you like hearing even more unfriendly comments from waiters. Literally every other restaurant in Vienna is a better place to hang out and have good food!
