What a shame, because after visiting at least 4 times and spending on average 15 euros each, totaling 60 euros, in the past 2 WEEKS, I was thinking of writing you a very good review and making you my permanent spot. It's Montreal; it's Saigon; it's Budapest, Toronto/Berkeley, and then maybe Vienna. So when I find a good coffee spot in my neighborhood, I want to make it my spot. The food at this place has been consistently good, although very high priced. I've tried multiple dishes and drinks here, and nothing has slipped so far. What I'm upset, is after that amount of money in a short period of time, I'm still invisible to the staff here? Case in point, when I got in today, the shop was very busy. After sitting down for a few minutes, no one checked on me, so I took a glass of water. "It's ok, they were busy." But they saw me, since I sat directly across the coffee machine. After a few more minutes, no one gave me the menu. "It's ok, they were busy;" so I took a menu for myself. Then three gentlemen walked in and sat next to me. Immediately they were given water and menu. "It's fine, maybe they now noticed I got the menu already." After even more minutes, still no one came by to take my order. "It's ok, I can flag one down." Before I could flag one down, a server ran past my table to the three gentlemen's and took their order. So I left. RUDE! I don't know what kind of business you run here, but in any business, unless you're a big chain, you cater to the locals. Not visitors who will just come one time; I can tell from the languages spoken in this shop. And I've spent a huge chunk on local businesses. But if you don't want my money, it's fine. We came here to celebrate my Birthday based on recommendations from several food bloggers and I unfortunately must say that this place did not live up to an expectation. While we were seated quickly and both interior and exterior are very pleasant, out server was not pleasant at all. The food wait was reasonable but what I dont understood is that our drinks and coffee were delivered probably 5 minutes after the food was delivered that in my opnion is unacceptable. It was clear that our server forgot about our drink order since several tables that came way after us got their drinks. Instead of maybe a simple sorry, we got eye rolls when we asked about the drinks and quite theatrical deliver and loud placement when he finally brought them. Food itself was ok. Not great, not bad.
