Hausmair‘s Gaststätte — Restaurant in Vienna

An inn like back then, as if time had stood still, as if we were still at the turn of the late 19th to the 20th century. Everything fits, the furnishings, the staff from the countries of the Danube monarchy, the down-to-earth food and drinks - the beer doesn't have far to go and of course comes from the 16th district, from Ottakring.

Requests for changes, such as smaller portions, are possible without any problems, and recommendations are also gladly given.

Here, the chef is passionate about his work in the kitchen and also enjoys serving his guests, supported by his co-genial, attentive waiter.

Just sit back and enjoy - and immerse yourself in another time! And even the guests seem to fit in perfectly - big theatre, as if it had been staged.

One of the best austrian restaurants which serves the best ,authentic and traditional Martini Gansl!

The taste is delicious, memorable and not salty . The chef and the team cooked the food with heart and bring the home feeling!

If we make comparison with Rudi Beisl, this restaurant is better than Rudi Beisl.

Euro 38,90 for 1/4 Gansl Euro 5,90 for Gansl Soup Euro 12,90 for Kaiserschmarrn .

This restaurant will be our fixed restaurant for every year’s martini Gansl!

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant due to the extremely rude behavior of the waiter. When we asked for help with the German-only menu, he arrogantly replied: ‘This isn’t America. If you want to feel like you’re there, go eat at the McDonald’s across the street.’ For someone whose entire job is serving tourists, that was quite a bold statement. The attitude we experienced felt discriminatory toward international visitors. This place is clearly unwelcoming — even borderline racist. Do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant...
