Didn’t get to taste the dishes unfortunately but I have something to say about the service. We came here for breakfast and all the tables were occupied, except one with only one chair. I talked to a friendly waitress who told us that there are no additional chairs but some people from another table already paid and we can wait till they leave. And recommended to not go anywhere. So we stood 5 meters away from the table (it was on the street) for some good 10-15 minutes. When other customers left and we were going to sit down, the table was immediately taken by some women who came a few minutes before that and rushed to it. When I tried to say that we were waiting for this exact table, they rudely said that they didn’t care and they were told by the staff that the next free table is theirs. To not make a scene and disturb other customers I went to the waitress to find some support because another waitress who saw all this ignored the situation and didn’t try to handle it. Our waitress said she couldn’t do anything about it. Then she suggested to wait a little more because another table inside was about to get free. We stood there for another 5 minutes to eventually be told that the table we are waiting for is now free but was reserved. We were speechless and just left. When we stepped outside, we saw that at the table where there was only one chair, now a company of 4 or 5 people was sitting so magically they found chairs now. It was our last day in Vienna and we came across the city to have breakfast here. I can tell you the rest of the day was spoiled. I wish they took care not only about how full their place is but also about comfort of their clients. I don’t think it’s right to let customers fight over a table. Btw the women who took our table were Germans or Austrians and we are foreigners. Maybe that’s also the reason why no...
Read moreNothing to say about the food and all. But we walked in, were sat at our table, and placed our order at 12:40ish noon. It’s now 13:39 when I leave this review and there’s still no sign of our breakfast. That’s a full hour later for some avocado on toast, come on, are they growing the avocados specifically for our breakfast?
Edit: it’s now an hour and twenty minutes since we placed our order, still no sign of the damn food. This has got to be the worst possible place I’ve ever been to, wait-time wise. Absolutely horrific, if you have plans for your day, and you want to have a quick bite, this is so not the place.
Yet another edit: We eventually got our food. The avocado paste didn’t taste like anything, no salt, no pepper, no vinegar, no shallots, no lime juice. Literally just an avocado smashed and brought to the table. The omelette was nice in consistency, but it was brought to us cold, which, after waiting for almost an hour and a half…..big waste of time and money. Recommend Ulrich and Erich (they have a bit of a queue at the door usually, but it’s so worth it, they both out this place to shame, but yet again, so would any random takeaway...
Read moreFood was ok, though you can sesean the eggs. If not, just make sure the salt & pepper on the table are full (which wasnt the case) Also, the feta cheese was good, but if you write that it comes in olive oil, please bring one with it, it was probably sunflower oil or mixture of both at the most. Another thing are the vessels which weren't clean (water karaf in spesific) which is very basic.
Lastly and unfortunately there's also a lack of attention from the waiters side.
Shame, there's a good atmosphere + the coffee is good.
Edit response: Thank you for the replay, I appreciate it. Just about the waiters, I went inside and asked beforehand if I should order inside. The blonde girl told me there's no need, and she will arrive to the table - if so, do it all the way, either its self service or full 🙃
About the salt and pepper, as I wrote I understand that, just make sure that both vessels are full, the pepper vessel in this case was empty and I had to borrow from...
