We came to IKAT to celebrate our friend's birthday. We hadn't ordered a banquet, just some chicken samsa (it was hot and fresh), lamb shashlik (incredibly tasty and tender, without the unpleasant smell of old lamb that sometimes happens), and a Greek salad. However, our kind waiter Alex overheard that we were toasting to the birthday girl and brought her a portion of "Napoleon" cake from the establishment. She was thrilled to find out that "Napoleon" is her favorite cake. But we didn't stop there and also odered some baklava. I really appreciated that the dishes were seasoned just right. Often, in Austrian restaurants, everything is too salty for my taste. And the dessert flavors didn't overpower the sweetness of sugar. We immensely enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the attentive service. The service was friendly yet unintrusive. Highly recommended.

What was very strange in this restaurant was the price. You can really have a better choice with these prices. The food was good, but in my opinion, this restaurant is one of the ordinary restaurants, but the prices are at the level of a great restaurant. We ordered the kebab tray, which was written in the menu for two people, but it was not even for one person because the kebab skewers were too small.

First Georgian restaurant I have been to. SonI had the Manti (large dumplings) as a starter, which were pretty good, could have eaten more of those. As a main I ordered the lamb, which was not that great. It wasn‘t super juicy or well seasoned, it was a bit boring in fact, and pricey (17€ for two sticks of meat, probably not even organic lamb). Staff was friendly though.

The food was also not as I expected. Not surprising as we had no idea what kind of food Uzbekistan has.

We started with soup. My wife had Creamy Pumpkin Soup and I had Chorba soup with lamb. They came with fresh, hot bread.

We split two dishes for the main course: Plov (beef, rice and veggies) and Manti (like big beef and lamb pierogis).

All was very good. Price was reasonable. With the above, two glasses of wine and a beer, the total was €68.

They have English menus with pictures which made ordering easy. Waiters spoke English, too.

Good restaurant, good...

We came here for lunch on Saturday 13.1.24 two people. We were seated in a cold room. It felt like were were outside, even the cutlery was cold. We waited for around 10-12 minutes we were not offered any drinks, matter of fact they did not even give us the menu. After that we understood that there is no more point to wait and decided to leave. Its a real shame as we were looking forward to our lunch. Hope this will get better, but...
