Kantine Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Vienna

I went to this place because of reviews. But honestly place is a big mess. Looks like it’s used to be a a night club or a bar and they just leased that place for a new name and made it look like a Thai restaurant. Which is too far from the restaurant atmosphere service and taste. Thai food is too far from the tasty traditional Thai food. Cash only! And of course waiter trying his best to keep a change with excuse that he doesn’t have actual change to give . The only plus that they open till very late and you can have a food after the time when most places in the City is closed. No vegetarian 🌱 options, they can do any dish with smoked tofu . Which is honestly ruined all the flavor.

Only takes cash and you get notified after you have your meal. Thai food very good and original. Service very bad and grumpy. We waited for 20 minutes to order desert, which came with chocolate sauce which was not mentioned in the menu, coconut cream ok but not chocolate sauce with sticky rice. 5.I recommend they get someone Thai and young to look after the Thai restaurant side of things and let the 2 old grumpy guys look after their clients and the bar. Ps buy some reading glasses, and never fight with your customers as you always lose. My complaints...

Best Thai red curry I've had in my life! Everything was delicious and authentic (including the level of spice!) and the staff were super friendly (unlike in some other places in Vienna).
