We (wife & 2 toddlers) spent 33 euro here and just to frame the review, my expectations are reasonable...or relatively low; a good product and attentive service is about it. You don't even need to be outgoing or friendly, really, just not rude. I'm not going to write a book here but there were 2 things that made me upset. The first issue is that basically, our server forgot 2 items on our order, one of which I will allow the benefit of the doubt due to possible confusion between us(although she repeated the order to me). The other item she forgot is her fault due to her chatting with her friend in plain sight for about 10 minutes...we were on a schedule to get out of our hotel room. The next issue was a rude barista who somehow doubted that I had ordered even though I spoke to him, had a number and his printer showed my order(as pointed out by his coworker). I had to wait for him to do his dishes and tidy his station even after his colleague started my americano(maybe 10 minutes). He never even addressed me - showed me his back the whole time. The cashier, food and coffee was average, which is about what you expect when you go out. It's really only when things are above or below average that I...
Read moreI wish I could give a -1 star for the service. Before I received very fresh and excellent bread, apparently by chance. This time, I bought a small loaf of bread for more than EUR 5, which is very stale and apparently nothing but edible. On any of the visits to the shop, the service was extremely condescending and arrogant. With the previous high quality and freshness of the product, I was willing to pay the price and take the attitude of the shop employees, but with this very expensive stale bread sold with a lot of attitude I feel like I need to leave this review.
Having just looked at previous reviews, the attitude of the staff seems to be a highly relevant and recurring issue. Is it so difficult to find not condescending, arrogant and rude...
Read moreI originally had given 5 stars because of the delicious products. I've discovered the place through a giftcard from a friend and been so happy to find a 'real' bakery in Vienna. But having become a regular at the Währing location we couldn't help but notice how 'bored' the staff behaves, especially if you order a lot of products, they have a "get it over with and finally get out of here" attitude. This is super disappointing and got us to visit the bakery less often. On top of that the almond croissant I purchased last time because they were out of butter croissants was waay too dry and crumbled as a whole. But other than that I love this bakery so much and I wish we felt more welcome and encouraged to...
