Bollyfood used to be my favorite Indian restaurant in Vienna, staff was kind and the food was amazing, until yesterday. Last night, I went there with my daughter to celebrate the end of the school term. Since the terrace was full, we were seated inside .They told us it is a bit warm, the indoor temperature was more like a sauna — extremely hot to the point that it could have caused heat exhaustion. We tried to endure it and managed to finish our meal, but on the way home, my daughter began feeling sick due to the heat. Before leaving, we asked to have our leftovers packed to take home. However, to our shock, what we received was not our food, but someone else's leftovers. My daughter unknowingly took a bite before we realized the mistake. I understand that heat can impair concentration, but this kind of error is unacceptable for a restaurant. Mixing up customer meals — especially with someone else's leftovers — is a serious hygiene and safety issue. Considering this mistake, I am now also very concerned about the hygiene conditions in the kitchen under such extreme heat. Sadly, we won’t be...
Read moreWalked past this place for he past 2 years but it finally caught my full attention and we sat down yesterday. It was a nice dinner, the food is really well made, tasteful and I guess authentic. We had the Butter Chicken and the Paneer, as well as some Naan and Rice. The portion was just right, not too big and not too small for an average person. The main dishes were really good, unfortunately we didn’t like the naan the way they made it. Surely arguing with high standards here but we have had better before. The team is super nice and very friendly. The whole experience is a 5 star review for sure, but 4 stars for the food. It was super nice, but just not special enough for us :) It’s a restaurant I will go to more...

(Sure, my Indian friends might have their own opinions, but there’s no way in heck I’d drag any of them here—honestly, I’m scared of the judgment! I like what I like, and I’ll say what I say.) The service was incredibly friendly and professional, though I must admit, the food took a bit longer to arrive than I expected. Still an...
