Kaido Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Vienna

My son likes sushi and as we celebrated his B-day, we decided to go for some fancy. As I looked up the Google for references, and after an easy table reservation via online portal, we ended up in Kaido and it was definitelly not a bad choice.

As starters we chose just classics: Miso, Spring rolls, Chicken Gyoza, which was standard good. For the main course then we gone with recommendation for the Master chef choice plate. Good decision, for sure, some of combinations were completely new to me. I personally liked most the grilled salmon topped with caramelized lime, the little sweet explosion made my day 😏 My son was presented with a little sushi birthday cake as well ♥️ At the end we also received the Coconut cream as thanks for expressing our grattitude

I was craving sushi and google maps showed that this restaurant was literaly right around the corner from me. It's a small place but there was a table available for me and I gladly took a seat. The gentleman who served me was extremely polite and professional. I ordered the "chef's choice" for sushi. It was delicious. It may have been the best I've ever had. I plan to return soon because I'd love to try some different items next time. You should definitely stop in if you're in the neighborhood; you won't regret it. -I made another visit this evening. The sushi was delicious again. A nice, calm atmosphere is what you will find along with professional and courteous staff. Go there. Do it now....

There's definitely potential for the place, but maybe not for lunch? Nor a big group? I hate to give a restaurant a rating that would lower its rating, but cannot give it 5 stars.

We stumbled upon the restaurant, so I made the reservation online about 45 mins before we arrived. We got there, he didn't know about the reservation and there was no table to fit us.

It was fine, we split among different tables and sat down..but it took a while to get our orders and then a bit more to actually get the food.

The food itself was a mixed bag, some of the maki options were great. But the sashimi was literally still frozen. And for the sushi platter, the portions were a bit small...
