I gave 2 stars because food was amazing, so just because of that. Stuff was behaving awful and ruined our mood completely. Next time I rather go to billa and buy simple bakery but without obvious disrespect from workers. We’ve been in cafe 28.04.2025 between 1 and 2 pm. There were two women: one middle aged with short hair and younger one. The older woman was taking our order and behaving very arrogant. All names of drinks and bakery are in French, so it’s hard to read them properly and we were showing what we want with fingers, but she was acting like she doesn’t understand what we want, until we tried to pronounce it few times and still she was looking at us like she doesn’t have any clue what we are talking about. Mood was already ruined, but it wasn’t the end. Stuff didn’t provide water for us, so when I went inside to ask for it older women aggressively asked me what I needed, but I had no intention to talk to her again, so I talked to younger girl and she just sent me to table with a pitcher of water, when I said that there are no glasses they both just looked at me without trying to solve this problem. My opinion is that administration should teach their workers...

Not too bad for a bakery placed in a Germanic country. The pastries were beautiful to look at, but the taste was only ok. Usually with croissant dough, I expect multiple small air holes between the layers or some other sort of separation between the layers, as croissant dough is supposed to be folded dough with butter in-between (thus the folds are very important in high quality croissants!), but here the dough was baked into almost one mass, making it more like a bread than a croissant - which is relatively typical of Germanic pastries, and these pastries I found less extreme than the typical Germanic pastry-bread mass. I found it a bit dry, and only a bit crispy, but this might just be as they were not fresh.

The staff was nice, but the decoration is not very cozy. Definitely not a café! Mostly a boulangerie with tables, you're not meant to lounge here and it isn't nice. If you do go, I recommend getting take-away. The coffee...

2025: still amazing and still very popular, we tried mille feuille and cinnamon roll too this time, they were impaccent. 2024: Probably the best French style bakery in Vienna and I am not alone with this opinion, as there is always a queue. If you wanna eat in, you first need to reserve a table for your self on the spot, and when you get to the counter, you are telling them where they should serve. If you get to the counter without a table, they only serve you for takeaway. Prices are high just like other similar bakeries, but everything we tried were perfect - prosciutto sandwich made in a freshly baked baguette with goat cheese and cornichon (€6.5), pistachio croissant (€6.2), Basque cheesecake (€6.2). Probably the only space for improvement is the service, the ladies are not too kind or smiley, seems very burnt out and impatient. But nothing serious, still great and a must of you...

(Oh no, inflation gets to them. Prices are all up now.) Everything about this place is perfect. I live far away, yet I constantly feel the urge to make the trip. The jambon sandwich with brie? Pure heaven. The coffee? Exactly as it should be. The ever-changing selection of fresh, delicious cakes? I live a full life. I don’t even have a sweet tooth, yet every visit compels me to indulge. The best part? It’s incredibly affordable. Their jambon sandwich is just 6.5 euros—easily over 8 euros elsewhere. The service is warm, the atmosphere inviting. You can even sit in a cozy corner, read, and enjoy your meal in peace. Truly, a 10/10 experience.
