I come here all the time. Sadly, today they didn't have the large bottles of el yucateco hot sauce that they usually have available for customer use. The guy making the tacos gave me a little unopened gift box of mini versions of those same hot sauces that he had behind the counter, just so I could season my taco. Meanwhile they actually make their own hot sauces that he could have pushed me towards, but instead he hooked me up with the brand name stuff all the same just cus I asked. (I'm sure the sauces they make are excellent too by the way, I just have mild condiment control-freakism) There are at least 3 other taco places that I know of in a 15 minute walk radius from here but this one is hands down the best. The carnitas is my favorite option but the veggie options are also good. The tortillas themselves are also on point. If you come here and like what you try, I'd also highly recommend Comal in the 4th district

definitely a place to go and taste TACOS in Vienna! Fair price and massive portions of meat on double tortilla per taco! (i have never seen it before in Europe) My opinion is that they have in control the most critical ingredient, A GOOD MAiZ TORTiLLA to offer. They have a variety of Salsas from mild spicy to spicy and are very tasty. After you receive your tacos they have an isle for "preparing" your tacos with some extras, like red spicy onions, Parsley, radish and others. The ambience of the local resembles any street taco place in México City. It is run by mexican owners, so they know what they are doing :) You can eat inside or outside, but outside if you are standing, you somehow get the feeling of a quick standing TACO in México city, which is a bit of a nostalgic experience. I wish them success and that they stay around in business for a looong time.

This small spot offers a constantly changing menu that caters to both meat lovers and vegans/vegetarians alike. The freshly prepared tacos were delicious. They also offer a small selection of Spanish beers to complement your meal. However, if you're really hungry, be prepared to spend a bit more as the prices can add up. While the tacos are undeniably delicious, they're on the smaller side, making them more of a snack than a full meal. On the bright side, the spicy salsa packs a punch and enhances the overall experience. In my opinion, these are some of the better tacos I've had in Europe, but the portion size and drink prices could be improved. Overall, it's a great spot for a tasty snack and a refreshing drink, but be prepared to indulge a bit more for a satisfying meal.

I asked the employee if the tacos were home made. He said unfortunately they weren’t. And that's exactly how they tasted. I've read some of the other reviews and I'm aware that the owner claims they are made freshly every day, but this was not my experience. Dry, not very warm, no corn taste, more like wheat.

Also I find it cumbersome that I must add my own toppings. Even if that's how it's done in Mexico, it’s annoying (at least make signs explaining the toppings please). Every cheap Döner place can manage to individualize toppings … why not do it here? It’s more hygienic and a better experience for the customer.

Speaking of: If I am eating with my hands, I prefer not to be forced to touch the utensils that 20 strangers touched before me (toppings bar). I know they offer hand sterilizer but who wants to have the sharp smell of disinfectant on their hands while eating a taco?

Same goes for being forced to fill out an order form, even if the place is empty. I don’t care if this is the Mexican way, it’s also an unnecessary burden.

My suggestions:

Boost Taco quality Have toppings included Take orders without bureaucracy

If you can do that at the same price, I will back

UPDATED AFTER OWNERS RESPONSE:

Too bad you can’t take criticism from your paying customers without being condescending.

Since you decided to smugly characterize me as someone who might prefer Döner, let me be clear:

Whether I like Döner isn’t the point (I don’t). The point is that even cheap Döner places manage to offer more service than you.

As for mansplaining Mexican culinary terms to me: good luck with that attitude.

The point was that the tortillas taste like the kind I can get in any...

If you come from a place where tacos are almost everyday food (Mexico City; Texas) you are very spoiled … there are so many Mexican restaurants, taco places, street vendors that you have a wide choice. In Vienna? It's of course very limited … I tried Chichitita for the first time. It's an "eats" place … no frills. If you know the U.S., it's like "Chipotle", but on a very limited budget. The tortillas are much smaller than the ones in the U.S., Mexico … therefore the fillings are also smaller … the sauces? four different types out of ketchup-type plastic bottles. I went for the "salsa fuego" (supposed to be very spicy) which was, though spicy, a white, strangely creamy concoction … I expected something more watery, reddish … I guess I still dreamed of the "sauce bar" at Taco Cabaña in Fort Worth, TX …

… as to the tacos: … de chorizo? Don't have it. … de suadero? Don't have it. … de barbacoa? Don't have it. I settled for cochinita, carnitas, chilorio … Mexican beer? Sol … Any other, like Dos Equis, Modelo, Corona? No. So, it was Sol … not my preferred brand, but so be it …

… the food had a certain uniform taste … salty. To round it out, had a "frozen margarita" but I found it to be very light on the tequila …

Prices are most reasonable. May be alright for tourists on a budget? O.K. Quality? … you be the judge …

… the lone guy behind the counter was very helpful. Some time after me a young lady in a wheelchair came in; he immediately jumped to have her manage the step up to the...

I went to have dinner there and everything was fine when we arrived but then the guy ho has brown color skin and curly hair is the one who was taking our order and from moment one he wasnt that “kind and friendly”. Then about the food, personally i did like it and being mexican im used to this type of “self service” taco restaurant so im really fine with that because you put as much as you think its right. They didnt have one of the flavors I asked so i went for another and i liked it, my boyfriend who is vegan, liked his as well and the sauces were ok. So food wise i think its good, the place is nice buy extremely hot, the BAD thing is that i was recording the restaurant from multiple angles because i wanted to do a TikTok about it so more people can come (I usually charge for this and I was going to do it by heart to support mexican people) and then we very rude told me “if you’re going to film the staff, you have to ask me for permission” , which ok I understand but 1. He didn’t even know if he was on my video, 2. He could’ve asked kindly like hey! Please can you ask if you want to film the staff? , which clearly i did not want to record the staff, but the restaurant, he was every single time so not kind and moody that i wouldn’t go back necessarily because of...
